I like the new channel icon...very professional. That should be a good test. I have always heard the steel guide rod weight story on glocks. Now we will know. I use them so I can swap out different recoil spring weights quickly. Good stuff.

I put a stainless guide rod in my 17 a year or so ago and the extra weight does feel good

Big J I put these in my po7 and 75 compact noticed little to no difference! Check the specs mine are smaller in diameter than the polymer rods . Little more than 200 hundreds . It's pulling the 75 compact off too the right slightly on target . I'm shooting them agin tomorrow and switching them out and compare results . Maybe I had a bad day but don't think so . I shot my shield 40 ported same session and got better results, that never happens at 7 to 10 yards. K

I don't know about the p07 but I did call CZ about the P01 and they said the P01 could get frame battering with ss rod. Some people do some don't. Where the rod meets the barrel lug during cycling can damage the frame. CZ Custom puts them in for competition pistols. Hey, I'm not saying don't but I have seen a pic. You will void warranty if damage. Hey, it's your pistols I'm not knocking ya.

thanks for sharing I'm really new to guns I was just wondering if you can explain to me how guide rod slows down a kick or barrel flip or whatever it is called? also I have a Smith and WESSON m and p shield 9mm which don't jump a lot but is there a guide rod you would suggest to help? thanks for your time and god bless you my friend

I'm curious myself. Don't think there's enough weight difference in guide rod to change the recoil feel. But maybe with the right spring...?

I'm more interesting in putting something in that's more reliable than the poly guide ride the P07 comes with.

Question.... Was the SS guide rod worth it in the P07 ? I just bought one from the same company for my P01. I bought it used and the factory guide rod was bent when I took the gun down to clean it.

Hi Big Johnson I am interested in your results as well. I wonder if the default thinking, that a polymer guide rod is strictly about manufacturing cost, is always correct? I see many times people will 'upgrade' their pistol and induce reliability concerns. I feel that cost is an issue manufacturers deal with, but they spend quite a bit of R&D on making reliability built in to their product. Just wondering out loud, I did put a ss guide rod in my 75b compact when I owned it and it ran great. Thanks for the project, will definitely watch for your next video. Grey
