This automated liter box is great for my work schedule because not only is it set to remove the fecal matter in twenty minute but it also levels the remaining litter and gives my cat enough time to complete the process.
I have 2 of these in my house, they work great, if they miss the box I wipe it down with Clorox wipes. Cleaning day is every 10 days due to more then 1 cat, and I use the Lavender scented crystal litter.
Bought mine a year ago and I rigged mine( my cat poops a lot) and the tray only lasted about a week . I went to wally world and bought a plastic tote( under bed storage tote) and cut it off the same height as the box. Cut off 1 end where the litter would normally empty. On that end I have a plastic shoe box with a trash bag in it setting on the floor and then set the big tote a small wood platform and then the litter box mechanism on top of the tote. Now when it scoops it all goes in the plastic bag and all I have to do is pull the bag out and replace the liner. I actually love this litter box NOW... And I use the regular cat litter...
Just got it and is working well. Our cat started using it right away, but we were using crystals previously. Update: just changed the box after about 3 weeks. Main issue is that my cat goes in the same spot so that area is visibly soiled, which can be remedied by manually mixing the crystals. Otherwise worked well.
Thxs for this great review. I shared with my daughter, shes planning on getting a new kitten, this month! This is a very good video! 👏🏻 I love the cat door at the bottom of your door!!! 👍
Pros: only have to replace box with litter once a month (for 1 small cat), cleans up feces immediately so cats not stepping in poop, the crystals absorb the urine immediately, crystals do not stick to cats feet, mine has a cleaning timer for 5,10,20 minutes, keeps up with your cats voiding/pooping schedule to monitor cats health, and obviously, you can leave your pet alone for extended time! Put large quantities of food and water out...litter box takes care of itself! Cons: more expensive, but worth it not to have to clean a poopy litter box several times a day!
If you get the Disposable trays the way you clean them is throwing the litter in the Disposable tray away but if you get the plastic forever Trey you can easily do something like put a cat pad on the bottom two ABS or liquid and and then wash the cat litter crystals
I've watched a lot of videos on this litter box, but I have yet to see one where it demonstrates how to go about replacing, cleaning it when its full. I get it, it's a robot scooper but the human does the dirty part and I need to know how that's done and if it's worth it.
We just purchased one of these over the weekend and really like it. Very clean process. The metal rake/scooper pushes through the crystals to move excretion to the covered cardboard chamber that gets sealed after every rake. To change out the tray, you simply lift the device (plastic frame and hood) and slide out the cardboard tray with the crystals. The cardboard lid for the tray is underneath so you place it over the top of the tray to seal it and throw it away. Then you take another tray, place the lid underneath the tray and slide it under the frame and lay the frame back down on the ground. Fill the tray with the crystals and you are done. Very cool device and process.
I had this exact one and my mom hated it and got rid of it that was when I was eight and now I’m 14 and I clean the box so I should make the choice of how it gets done tbh
I have one, I wanted a bigger box for the poop so I cut the bottom out and put a small trash can under it and have the litter box on top of a box. works amazing
Well it looks all nice and shiny being new, I wonder if those silver cleaning bars get funky with stuck on poo as the unit ages? My Cat has a real problem not walking in far enough and sometimes pee squirts out the entrance. With the low sides I am concerned it would happen with this unit
Have you ever had any problems with the food you give your cat.? I was using purina cat chow, the indoor kind...my cats would throw up all the time. With the cats i have now I feed them strictly grain free (purina beyond & sheba perfect portions) with no occurrences of vomiting. I also switched my dog to grain free to test the theory and he doesn't get sick any longer... something with soy grains and gluten really does a number on their systems. I only say this because your kitty looks sweet and this will help her in the long run. Thanks for the video , I am looking for an automatic litter box b/4 vacation!
I have this and I dont approve it and I have one little kitten. It does the job but not a good job of getting rid of odor, It still makes my room smell bad :/ I prefer a regular litter box with door.
Melissa Durante Litter robot is "far superior"? Please. The litter robot is more than double the price, ugly, huge, and way too complicated. The scoop free litter box is cheap, easy, and won't take up barely to any space.
I just bought two for 100 it came with a extra thingy on letgo my cats seem to like it so far....the last owner had to sell both cause his cat just would not use it
ALEXANDRIA ALLY have you ever tried it with regular clumping litter? I am thinking of getting one and would love it if it could just use the litter I have
Hey @@NaomiValerie Did you ever get an answer for your concern? I was just going through reviews on this ítem and the same doubt immediately came to my mind. Thanks!
@@dianasalguerodelacruz616 No I haven't received an answer from anyone so far. I still have no clue if it would work. My cats are very specific with their litter so it would be convenient if I could keep using the one I already own.
For one of our cats it lasts two weeks. We go to either Kroger or Walmart and get the generic crystal cat litter for $8.00. That bag last for one month i.e. use half of the bag at a time.
have this cat box.. and 2 cats, if we do not change it every 3 days.. they start pooping next to it... not worth the money or spending 17 dollars for litter and disposable boxes.. per each change..
Hey Pazix. Did you get an answer for your concern? I was just going through reviews on this ítem and immediatelythe same doubt came to my mind. Thanks!
You should not use regular litter. The crystal litter absorbs the urine. I think if you used regular litter the box would not be able to rake the litter, it would more likely just push through the urine and just be a mess. The rake can however move the solid feces quite easily.
I ain't got 20 mins, I got 4 cats that only use 1 litter box (I have 3 others but they won't use) and they go very much one after the other sometimes. I tried to discourage this but they do what they want. It seems like a waste of money to me. Would clumping litter not be better than these crystals, that way the pee would be moved and not spread out to the rest of the tray
Do you scoop your tray every time your cat poops? You'd have to stand around waiting for them to poop, urgh. They bury it and if you have good litter it won't smell. You only need to scoop once a day.
the food you fee your cat isn't very good, try eagle pack or origen, much better, you spent more on your littler box then the nutrition of your cat. All those brands are made in china. Lots of recalls. Take care
they have bought an expensive litter box not for the cat but for their own convenience so giving cheaper n low-quality food to the cat shouldn't be surprising
I disagree with you brad bond! Purina, Hills, Iams, and RC are all made in the USA, and they are the only companies that test their food, anything else not recommended. I know I work in a pet hospital. Great Job on video
I get it but man Id hate to want to smell my own mess every single time I took a dump. I know cats do it to hide that they were ever even there but having to sniff a turd has to get old
my cat just eats its own shit anyway, like it's on some sort of recycle mode, must be one of those "green" models, and it loves having the water really close to the food, actually inside the food, like a nice soup...…..bonapetite
