Forcing the way people play the game is lame, especially if they're trying to make a meta and guide how every round should be. When was the last time coders added something truly exciting?

It's more likely that they were just trying to get away from it, as I believe lasers provide momentum in a vacuum on some servers.

You can't use soul tap with bind soul. BUT if by some miracle a looping rod happened with a wizard around...liches can come back from even dusting if their phylactery is intact. Odds of it ever happening are almost zero though

Because you can't soul tap as a lich, I think the most viable, but extremely convoluted, option is as follows. You get 10 points to spend as a wizard as we well know. Two are spent on rod form, one is spent on soul tap, and two are spent on an apprentice contract. That's a total of five of your ten points spent. You obtain the ID of a botanist to give to your apprentice. Order the exotic seeds crate on the service console. The exotic seeds crate contains a single replica pod seed. You can either grow yourself extra replica pod seeds, or use them to do a single singuloose. Your apprentice's only job is to grow your replica pod seeds, and revive you after you commit singuloose. Remember to pack extra robes into your apprentice's bag if your doing this because you'll consume a set of robes each time you do the double rod combo. Have fun. You could also try for mostly powerful robeless spells to use soul tap with after unleashing the singularity. It's an unlikely strategy, but doing it would bea hell of a thing to watch. Who can say they single handedly created more than one singuloose in the same round?

That was our original plan, yes, but the lichdom revival didn't fire for some reason. While liches can't soul tap NOW, they could at the time this video was recorded, as the removal of almost all of the code related to devils had inadvertently removed the code for keeping track of souls. A PR was merged in March to restore that interaction, though.

@@Eidako you are throwing that round away, but at the same time, there's no way to counter the singulo and its basically a guaranteed shuttle call (if the comms console even survives), so you're ruining the round for every other person that wanted to do something fun or rolled an antag that round

singulo never stops, so once a wizard pulls it off it usually eats like the entire station

I've literally done this several times. We haven't actually managed to summon Him yet but with a hypnoflash, an emagged borg and a sleepypen/hypospray with mindbreaker toxin you can basically turn people into whatever flavor of antag you want.

He was indeed in control of the Singulo, due to the soul tapping of the rod causing the reaction. It's beautiful.

Admins can set a condition where a singularity becomes controllable by orbiting it as a ghost, and typing directions into chat. I believe there's both a timed voting mode and a "Chaos" mode, named after the whole Twitch Plays Pokemon thing. That's would be why the movement is so sporadic.

@@baronbacku9984 This may not be the best example but they straight up do actively dislike the playerbase. Just popped on their forums yesterday after years of not playing this game and immediately saw a post from their head coder telling a player to fuck off and leave already and that if more players like them left they could finally make some serious changes. They say this as TG servers are experiencing far lower traffic than they were ever used to as a result to the stupid changes they've made. 2 or 3 of the servers would be packed back in the day when they embraced the chaotic LRP gameplay that everyone came to TG for but the head coder that legit never actually plays the game anyways thinks they know a better way.

people will shit on tg coders, saying how many bad decisions they make, but literally anyone is free to make a fork of it and somehow after all those "bad decisions" tg is still one of the biggest servers out there
