The part about the books not trying to predict the outcome is the most significant fact you can know about sports betting, and yes that IS where the inefficiencies can come from.
This video is over 10 years old can you believe it.. and these two guys are sparring with each other not trying to give up any of their edge at all. Book vs bettor. This battle has been going on for decades.
@38:29 "Because Pinnacle posts a line, if they don't post it nobody [...]" That is the truth and nothing but the truth and everybody who has a deeper understanding of this biz or is actually working in it knows that. Say whatever you want dude but that's the way it goes.
Bruh I’m not hating I would probably be the same way but some of these dude don’t wanna give up a single whiff of an edge. It’s so obvious who’s being informative and who’s keeping it tight to the vest.
They never answer the question about NFL being difficult to handicap and it's a very simple answer. The sample size is too small! There are not enough games in the season to get a good handle on what the teams are until at least week 13. By then it's almost pointless, almost because you do have the playoffs.
It is quite easy to do if you have a passion for it and really limit your game selection to 1 a day or even less. 200 or less picks a year 60% win rate is possible... the more picks you do the close you get to the 54% win rate against the spread or even lower... there is always 1 great bet out of about 30 games if you include all sports so.... find it and boom you will win in long run guaranteed...
@Pick Monitor If I was talking about taking heavily juiced bets you’d have a point. Win rate is only part of the battle but a small edge in win rate goes a lot farther than a small edge in juice. Maybe do some math on it or punch it into an odds calculator. Either way, we all bet differently and that’s what keeps the markets going. If we’re taking the books money that’s all that matters.
If u want to make money your not doing it betting -110 in every game ...bet horses that's where the value is! Had a 16/1 winner yesterday...how long would it take too make 16/1 betting games that take 4 hours too play
@@edgargill7828 Poor people also gamble... Winning money is an attractive idea and unless you're patient and tactical you're almost guaranteed to lose. But it's possible to use betting tactics to guarantee a profit ,if you know how.
Wade Magnus you literally couldn't find one guy less likely to reveal anything about how or why he bets in the world. I remember once in Twitter he 'gave one for free' because he was laughing how stupid the line was (and it was on college basketball which he doesn't bet on) given the circumstances and he was not only right but by some distance ...... I made £250 doing what he suggested. I have not seen him ever do it more than once in 5 years following him on Twitter
He is sooooo annoying ... made it halfway through the video and had to stop watching , the guy mediating should've done a better job at telling him to stfu , If I were on the panel I would've got my point across that he needs to let people finish what they're saying ... he's f*ckin obnoxious
"That guy" is considered the best NBA handicapper in the world BY FAR nobody can match his record not even Billy Walters (although Walters has an army of men behind him who are doing most of the thinking and work for him but that's a different topic). Go ahead and watch that "Meet the bookie: former pinnacle oddsmaker Mark Herberholz" Interview and see for yourself. If a Pinnacle bookies says that they cringe when they see a bet from you coming in on their games you know you are insanely good. Because the genius of the Pinnacle-Bookies is beyond comprehension so when they say that Haralabos Voulgaris is better than them you better believe that he is the best this planet has to offer.
Just wonderful, been searching for "european soccer betting odds" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Jinarter Clever Bulldozer - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my m8 got excellent results with it.
@@DVSOP No, he's frustrated. The panel is meant to give information to the audience as to how analytics can be used in sports betting. After all, it the "Sloan Sports and Analytics Conference," but no one is saying anything.
@@scottparrish7244 why put Asian in quotes? In This society that man is clearly asian by our corporate identification. Everything you said was irrelevant to what I said. He still looks coked out.
This could have been, should have been, really compelling. But the host is oddly uncomfortable and ill-suited for the role, and the conversation descends into petty comments and weird interruptions. Weak sauce overall.
