Keep in mind that some super amazing players are missing from the ranking too and SoCal is STILL stacked. Fly_Amanita, Fiction, Lovage, Larry Lurr and Sung have all been ranked top 10 in SoCal before but were not considered during the ranking process for inactivity.

Additionally, I guess it's because they're playing Melee, and not Smash for WiiU/3DS. The SM4SH skins are associated with a (slightly) different character because of how they're (slightly) changed in the later games.

I'm not sure. I hadn't thought about that. How would I record the video in quarter speed though, if the recordings had already been recorded?

Good point, didn't think about that either. I just know that in frag movies they record it at a low speed to ensure the most amount of frames in the video.
