"no one cares... you just +1 your own comment" Obviously you care. My response has you all butt-hurt. Plus, your Complaining about me +1ing my own comment while you go ahead +1 your own comment... Fail! Keep crying you incompetent fucking ass-clown.
Probably the best TAS video I've ever seen! Personally I just enjoyed the Falcon Punch finishes. A lot of TAS players don't realize how cool it is from a viewer's point of view! Awesome video :D
i remember when and my friend were kids in middle school playin this and we did it with 1 life and when we defeated Bowser i was like LETS GOOO we did the impossible, but then i told my friend wait...isnt he suppose to explode when the trophy is being thrown away like that and then he came back and we was like WTF?
11:24 from 2001! When ya beat Giga bowser, his statue still survives again and again and again as it was never destroyed but returns to sleep for now and reawakens once again one day if you player want a rematch!
first i've seen of a tas with very hard adventure mode. glad justice was done with the pokemon stadium and battle field stages. those were so brutal to beat legitimately.
ok, a couple other people have already asked that question, so I will explain. TAS stands for Tool Assisted Speedrun (or superplay). It requires the use of an emulator, and you edit your gameplay frame by frame to your liking. It allows you to do things in the game that would be very hard to impossible in real time.
DAMN! I've NEVER seen someone time Falcon Punch like that! Albeit the Melee version which is the slowest yet strongest one of the series so far. Then again, it is TAS, but oh well, it's the DAMN FALCON PUNCH, it's always good to land that move!
The SRAM runs start from SRAM because they need characters unlocked. Captain Falcon is available from the start. Also, the currently published SSB run was one of the few that didn't get rejected.
It doesn't say it was done for speed purposes. Therefore, it is a "Tool Assisted Superplay". Most of it probably was for speed, but considering he wanted to fight a Link in the Underground Maze, it's more of a Superplay, rather than an actual speedrun
About the 4:3 thing, yeah, this isn't gonna be the official encode due to the 16:9 graphical glitches. But you're right, they are more likely to accept an SSBM playaround than they are a speedrun.
One question: Do you think it's possible to TAS Cruel Melee ? I don't exactly remember how Cruel Melee goes, though. Also although the run was entertaining and all, I would probably enjoy a lot more seeing a bottom-tier character utterly destroying everything, rather than an God tier. It's still a good movie, and I hope you will get published. Perhaps next time try to get all the alternate/bonus opponents, like Luigi ! :D
