This beats my previous WR by 2:15 minutes, due to better execution in general, but furthermore - due to a better route! I am pretty sure I have a better one for the last map as well, but had no time to test it yet and didnt wanna test it during this run.
The pace until entering the last map was really good, with only a few "bad" fights. But as expected, I fucked up on 2 fights and added 2 deaths to my account. Its really frustrating but still I'm very happy with this time - until it gets beaten, of course!

Congrats on the run! Been interested in running this myself, but it seems that our Olimar builds differ but do the same job. My own build is Dark Daroach (Fire Plus, Demon Style) with Fire Plus in all 3 slots to maximise Red Pikmin damage with his aerials. I still need to test it with the bosses themselves though since I don't know the damage in comparison to your build. EDIT: I forgot that the Boss Rush phase of the fight renews Giant each time.

interesting, but the thing is, you definitely need the giant start for additional speed and damage. also it makes enemies much easier to hit!

spirits were same as my last run. medusa (with demon style) - ditto and mallow

No, new game plus allows you to start with the characters you earned on the save file you started new game plus, that also goes for spirits as well, so if you started a new game plus run on a save file you 100%ed you would have all characters and all spirits you earned on your 100% save file.
