It's his hitboxes that are the problem. E.g that nair is active for 1 or 2 frames, something pitiful like that so it whiffs even when the green swirl is visible.
i don’t know if adding more damage or weight to him would be staying true to the character though. it’s tough, i don’t know how they buff him but it’s blatantly obvious he needs one.
@@speadskater No, there just aren't as many tiers and there's no point in ordering within them. Aang is definitely way better than April who is way better than Patrick. High, mid, low tier right there.
Problem is there aren't many legal stages in this game. Personally, I am getting tired of hearing Jellyfish Fields every time since that is almost always the first stage they play on.
@@zeospark9715 they really only need 3 stages. i mean let’s be real, every time we see a competitive Smash Ultimate match being played it’s always either Final Destination, Smashville or Pokémon stadium. i think it just feels so limited because there’s only like 10 stages so far in the game in total, but like…they only need like 3, maybe even 4 decent legal stages anyways. i think we’ll get used to it eventually.
@@zeospark9715 i agree with you. i think that’s one area of development (among a fair few) that this game seriously struggles with. this game could have the most solid bones in the world, but without those cosmetic effects and aesthetics it just feels too plain and lifeless. this game isn’t very visually appealing, at least not to me. it also lacks soundtracks and music, for reasons unknown. i don’t know, my attitude towards this game is one of ambivalence. on one hand i’m pretty pleased and impressed with what they managed to achieve on a shoestring budget. however on the other hand i can’t deny feeling disappointed. its animations are a bit under average, and that’s not just when being compared to Smash or even just games in the fighting genre, but as a video game in general.
All mars had to do was connect those dash attacks in strong neutral and it kills Zim at like 60 as a Zim player it's really fun facing April when that's all she needs to do to kill you. That and spam dtilt
Yeah Zim can be a good character but like with Sheik in Ultimate, he just has a very hard time getting kills which doesn't make him really a top tier character. Especially since he doesn't have the best recovery move in the game
