Totally different tool. The dbx is a fantastic plugin. This is much more flexible and is designed to be an entire channel strip for the drums. Personally I use a dbx when I want a specific sound of compression.
I did like this plugin for shaping the general tone of drums. The high and low shelves help make general tone shaping fast and the trasiant section helps control punch. But it's a older plugin that has been moved passed.
I do highly recommend Boz digital labs transgressor 2 for mixing drums. But I really use softube console 1 for most mixing but transgressor is my go to for drums.
+In the DAW Peace and blessings. Could you make a video on howvto automate the frequencies from the Waves Torque filter? You know how you press that speaker icon in Torque and the filter comes on l would like that. A rep at waves told me l would have to automate the frequencies in my Studio One DAW. Thanks.
