If the order of the match is reversed then the result could probably be different. Sometimes it's psychological. If you start by losing, then losing, then losing, by the time you actually have chance to win, you already mentally down, and screw up.

On the flip side. The more you play against a team the more you learn their playstyle and can counter it. With way they did it it doubled their chances of winning.

i think they’re D1 tbh. i can’t speak for all of diamond but i’m D3 (been champ b4) and my mechanics and speed are 10x better than these two, so are my opponents and teammates usually.

@Klowize facts fr lmao. if they have zero boost why’re they not attempting ANY air plays. rn in D3 i can consistently double tap, ceiling shot, wall to air dribble, and most of the time ground to air dribble. but the main thing is my aerial car control and consistency is really good so idk what they were doing on the ground.

The ssl's started to take them seriously, and the diamonds became more and more nervous and desperate. While physically the diamonds had the advantage, mentally they already lost. This caused them to wiff ez balls and not challenge when they know the ssl's couldn't beat them to the ball.

Note that the vast majority of the diamonds offences started with a corner attack, which with ssl rotation become very easy to defend. If they stopped spamming it in the corner so much, the offences would’ve went somewhere naturally.

Also the diamonds gave away ball posession so much and banged the ball in situations where they could have waited a little and then control the ball because there was no opponent around to challenge.

I’m d1 in 3’s and plat 2 in 2’s but my friend is champ and I’ve played 2 rounds of champ games and basically I’ve experienced champs only air dribble off the wall slowly directly into your goal that can be defended very easily, I was gold since then so for me I thought they are OP but now I realised that they are basically barely any better than diamonds

I don't mean to be toxic, but if you're d3 div 4 in 1s, and can't get into champ in 2s and 3s, you're doing something seriously wrong. Most likely rotations. Should easily get like c2 if you fix that.
