@@xellyxstark2648 I'm sorry but have you seen the gallop? The way the neck does its own thing and the legs are stiff as all hell? The jump animation is the same as ever, but it's hind legs kick out mid way through and it looks very weird. The rear is also completely stiff. The mane looks like uncooked noodles and the physics of it are just awful and the way the tail is cropped at the bottom looks unnatural. I don't think they look like Arabians, but they sure as hell do not look like friesians. The moment we heard they were Jorvik friesians I knew they were up to no good, its not just a matter of being able to add more coats, as, historically, friesians used to naturally come in a large variety of colours. No, no, the jorvik part is there to excuse how different they look from the actual breed. They gave us the quarters and they gave us the Jorvik wilds and now they shove this half finished and obviously rushed third coming of the friesians down our collective throat, just because they want it out during the Christmas star coin deals, since they hope it will entice more people into buying star coins. Which it will, because there's always people buying whatever comes out. You are entitled to your opinion, obviously, but, objectively, this horse is a long shot away from where it could and should be.
@Noelle Clementz Critique isn't "ungrateful" though. You're entitled to your opinion but saying "Just be grateful" is like saying: "You're not grateful." Which isn't the case. (Even if my comment may have sounded that way. I just want to poke fun at how they say one thing and do another, since its not their first time :) )

I don't understand how this culture came to be created around star stable, maybe it is because the player base is mostly made up of children and young teens, but it is so very wrong. They are a game developer company, their job is to create a game that the players enjoy. WE pay THEM. We pay them for their services and therefore it is within our right to critique and express our displeasure when they do not meet our standards. It's called constructive criticism, not whining, and that's for a reason. If we do not express our opinions how do you expect them to create horses, quests, areas and all that comes within the game to our liking? They are professionals doing their job, not a child of 5 showing off their doodle, we don't need to tread carefully so as not to hurt their feelings. It's work, I'd expect none of them would get offended quite so easily. The problem here is that they aren't listening to us, hence this kind of situation ensues and we raise our voice a bit more persistently. What happens when a game ceases to meet the player base's expectations? It dies. So truly, it is within sso's best interest to listen to these kinds of things. But this whole "Oh, let's just be grateful" mindset keeps a lot of people pliant and ready to buy whatever it is that they throw us. If you genuinely like the horse than that's alright, you are in your right. But please don't try to spread this mindset even further. I don't know for how long you have been playing, but the best updates we have gotten in the latter years all came after periods of particular distaste toward the game from us, many players left, and so sso was forced to listen. So let them listen, because a game is made for the players.
I totally agree. And one more thing I don't like: their tail is "jumping" during the pirouette. It's weird. Overall I'm still disappointed because of this horse. :(
Im kinda dissapointed in sso Because it seems like they just pushed this horse out there, And didnt do a full check up of the animations and model, There is clipping, strange movements and twitches and other things too It's like they were on a very tight time space so they just had to add the updated version to the game
i agree, the horse looks like it was rushed, although the model looks fantastic. but it is close to the holidays, and im sure sso is very rushed this time of year, so perhaps after the holidays, they will clean up the horse and its animations when they can actually take their time.
@@gg5691 it's not coding. it's simple animating. animating a horse is hard af but if you're going to charge 20 bucks for it you better do what you're getting paid for and animate a decent gallop.
I know they they can do good with feedback, like the English Throughbred. The community hated em, SSO listened, and now they are amazing (personal opinion) though I am in the same boat as with you on the whole, “why don’t they listen again”
@@moonwatcher4047 I agree. I’m glad that they did something with the English thoroughbred. It shows that Sso can listen to their players. They just choose not to. (For example like rn kind of) It took them ages to fix the trakehners even though loads of people told them to do it a long time a ago. It’s sad to see what they do with the game since they have so much potential. I just feel like they need to communicate with the players more and perhaps the game will be better
Unpopular option: I really enjoy these horses. Yeah the manes a little too glued together and the rear is a little off. But other than that, I really enjoy their spunky and playful idle animations! It makes the horse have character and reminds me of a horse I used to own in real life! She was a fun little girl and could not hold still for the life of her lol. Reminded me of a child lol. ❤️ I wish everyone wasn’t so negative about their options. I understand everyone has the right to their opinion, but... they could be a little bit nicer! Star stable has improved MASSIVELY over the years. So, I’m really proud of them! ❤️
@@nshippudennaruto2814 Whenn? Even the face they make when smelling something and yawning is very different. I have two horses, I know what their usual/unusual facial expressions look like. Never, ever have I seen a horse open its mouth, effectively bare it's teeth and do that. Maybe it's meant to be neighing; if it is it looks very, very off.
I like how a lot of people are like: "This is so ugly! The gaits, expressions and everything on this horse is horrible!" But in the end they are the one who are going to buy the friesian first. Dont understand me wrong, I think there could be a lot of things that could be better animated and etc. But I wont buy the horse if I dont like it. If you dont like what sso created, just dont buy it and when all people will make it like this, if they dont like the horses, sso will improve the horses. Why should they remake them if everyone buys it anyway? Anyway, this is just my opinion. :D
exactly^^ just don’t get it, i personally love the horse, the hard stop is the only thing i don’t really like but i rarely do it anyway, there’s a lot of horses in the game i don’t like so i just don’t buy it, a lot of people like the friesians so why try ruin it for them and get it changed just because you don’t, it’s annoying lol
I agree I have a love hate relationship with the gen 3 Freesians but personally I think there were many things they could have changed with it but then again I love the dance and I love the model of it ^^
After seeing all these comments about the gen3 friesians, I’m sorta denying that my main is the Friesians. Because, the face looks fine, the walking looks fine. but the hard stop is not my favourite, probably the least favourite about the horse. But all I’m saying is that, no horses that are in the game, are gonna look the exact same. Sure, you want it to look realistic, but it’s not really fair to people who main Friesians cause I a person that mains a Friesian, Is doubting in buying them. Like, It’s not my expect reaction to these comments.

i actually like the animations, it’s just the mane+tail are a bit stiff. and i don’t like the colors either, there’s only 2 blacks.. i think i might get the black with socks or the tobiano
There's SO much hate in the comments that I wanted to show a little love. These horses could be a lot of things, but what they are compared to the other models (excluding the newest ones, AQH, JORVIK WILDS, ETB, etc.) they are still the best. Star Stable I believe could have done better in some of the things like the rear and other small bits about the movements and animations, however....they are still amazing in their own right! Since this is SUCH a pinnacle model in this game by breed I am glad they have been updated. I look forward to seeing their "unnatural" colors in the future released and I think that though it isn't realistic, it's nice. This is a game after all and we can't take it too seriously or expect to find what we would irl because it's NOT real life. As much as we love these pixel horses they are not REAL horses and considering that fact I think they did a great job! Besides, there not as off as it appears. I was thinking the movements were TERRIBLE, but then I saw Sakurastallion's video and realize just how on point they are. They are still off a bit, but not NEARLY as much as I thought. She compared the models we got today to irl horses of teh Friesian. Simply amazing how close they actually got! Still have a lot of improvement but they did wonderful considering they did the movements from scratch without any help aids. Another point, there not nearly as bad in game as they are in video, they are much better than they appear and the best of all. For people like me who can't own these beautiful animals, this is literally a dream come true in being as close as I can be to "owning" one of these beauties myself. I treasure my Friesian in this game and I am so glad she was able to be brought home today.

I cant Understand Why everyone is hating on the frisians? My Opinion: This is the FIRST horse with Realistin gaits. Yeah, the rear and the stop- especially the stop - are a little bit weird but the trot and the canter, galopp etc are just - WOW. They look so strong and not like giraffes. I mean, the Andalusiens Are trotting like giraffes. Small steps and a long, high neck. The frisians got a good big, strong and gorgeous trot and they look like they really want to trot with the riders hand. That’s how real horses should trot. (Don’t really know the words, I’m German) but yeah, I think they are wonderful and Starstable did a great Job. I hope they don’t change it.👍🏼 Lg
@@gg5691 the thing is, i wanted to love it. i wanted to get all costs. it’s my favorite breed. a lot of people feel this way and they were left disappointed. sso didn’t take the gen 2 criticism and don’t get me started on the gen 3 criticism. and they asked for feedback! quite upsetting if you ask me
How bad that SSO Players are still convinced that having the reins clip through horses neck is normal and nessesary. It's been years and we're still being played.
I hope they add an updated Friesian Sport Horse like this for more color variants. They could also fix the mane and tail to make it look more realistic as well as fix some of the animations, but other than that the new Friesians are stunning! 💕🐎
The actual HORSE design is beautiful, but some of the gates need to be changed.. I’ll name some of the gaits I think need to be changed: the gallop, the trot, and definitely the jump also the hard stop is to dramatic.
I seriously hope the last Friesian that you’ve show-cased is not the the one that is only accessible on the app because I’ve been saving SC for months now and the app’s horses usually aren’t like, added, until several weeks later.
I love the new friesans, just wish that the tails would have been longer and more flowy, (as their hair is really long and flowy, and it'd be more realistic).
Honestly, the only thing I truly hate about these new ones is the slow gallop jump, it doesn’t fit with the other jumps. The hind end is like tucked in which is the opposite of the canter and gallop. Also, the front leg that stretches out the most is the wrong leading leg, the horse is cantering on its right lead yet the left leg is stretched in front. Otherwise, I don’t hate them too much
ive seen a lot of hate on the Friesians current state, but heres my theory. sso just fixed up the trake, and since it is close to the holidays, i believe that sso is feeling a little rushed. the horse model itself is fantastic, its just the stiffness through the legs and hair. i believe once the holidays are through, sso will fix up the fresians. im glad that the fresian is this years christmas horse, its an sso classic.
I don't know if i like anything about the horse... The walk, the mane and everything just doesn't feel right! And i absolutely hate the Dance and Idle... It looks so weird and bad.
This horse is not that bad in my opinion. Yes, the full stop, gallop and some idle animations look bad and could be improved, but all the other gaits look pretty good. Personally, I’m a big fan of the trot and jump. It’s sad that it became popular to hate on this horse and everyone screams „it’s so ugly” on the game chat. I think it turned out much better than what we’ve been shown in the trailer
I think people are complaining about the mane too much when they clearly don't understand how horrible and bad and time consuming not only for the team but for the players it would be if they animated every strand on this breed. Since this has a much bigger mane render than we normally get in SSO with the new manes being short or medium, they have to animate it in a way where the game will run easier and quicker for everyone. This is an important thing to sso, making their game compatible for all people to play, this is why they avoided covering the map in snow for the last 4-5 years. If SSO had animated the Friesians mane to our liking and standards, the game would be buggy, laggy and run at poor quality. It would cause a lot of issues throughout the game and majority of the SSO community are kids who can't afford a good gaming PC to run better games on. If SSO had made the Friesians mane strandy and animated it like the Andalusian or the lusitano the severity of the game servers at a whole would be put in danger. If you can't already run SSO at maxed graphics with no issues whatsoever, then your game will crash using the Friesian model with a mane like the other horse breeds. The mane is fine, and better than the one we had on the generation 2. SSO went through the effort to even animate it, considering the old model had it barely animated. The animations are acceptable to criticize, but please stop complaining about something that will not be changed for the sake of the SSO community.
I feel like sso wanted to make this horse so special they ran out of time to master it. I mean look how many new, different kind of animations it has. The hard stop, the idle, special move. The thing is, none of those really matter at the end. I really don't understand why they wanted to squeeze in a new horse after we just got the new coats on jorvik wilds and the new magical horse. The fresian needs a lot of work with the mane, A LOT, to look flowy and nice, but sso thought they'd master it with all this other add ons

Honestly after the Jorvik Wild, the team should have done better. I'm very tired of people saying things like: it's good enough, or it isn't as bad as it could have been. You're allowed to ask for more than the bare minimum, you don't have to settle for just reaching the bar. The thing is: if this horse was released before the Jorvik Wild, I'd be more forgiving. I'd assume that it was the best effort the team could give and move on. But it wasn't. The team has shown that they're capable of going above and beyond, and without realizing it have set a new standard. And excusing the team's predatory behavior to cash in on Christmas sales from their player base with a rushed horse is ignoring the disrespect to the players. You're allowed to criticize the teams work ethic and their behavior regarding the friesians, you're allowed to ask for more given their AMAZING job on the Jorvik Wild! Slapping a Jorvik label on the friesians doesn't exuse frankly subpar animations. Honestly I'm more heart broken than anything because with the gorgeous animations of the Wild I thought that gen 3 was moving in a great direction, like for that consistent quality I wouldn't mind a couple weeks getting skipped for updates. I just expected a little more respect for not only a beloved fan favorite, but a milestone in sso's development: The very first horse they ever experimented with in terms of model. All I can hope for is that the breeds that come after are crafted with a little more care. Heck, best case scenario they'll tweak a few animations to flow more naturally like the etb. (Because there isn't much that can be done about the model now.) But as of right now I can't see myself buying one in the foreseeable future.
I think the last freisian is the to-be app horse because we haven't gotten it yet and they take some time to come out on the app, so I think it's the app horse.
Really love the quality of this video and breed review. I see a lot for individual breeds but this one was very thorough. Consider me a subscriber! As for 2 cents, I think overall for me, the animations are simply 'too busy'. It's not horrible, but not worth the price for me.
