00:37 Creating a Data Source, Dataset and Table 03:49 Testing for Null in SQL 05:54 Testing for Nothing in Report Builder 08:13 An Alternative 09:05 Nulls in SQL Expressions
Hello, my name is Walter, I'm from Peru and I wanted to thank you for sharing your knowledge about Excel on RU-vid. Thanks to this I have a page on Facebook, called "Excel Queries", where I try to do the same as you: Share knowledge. Greetings.
what if there was a title that did not have, country, budget dollars, box office, or profit dollars in the database? How would you get it to list on the left hand side anyway? For example if there is a not a "country.id" to join it with but you still wanted to list the movie under the title to show that it had unknown country/0 for everything to its right? How would you go about that?
Hi! I'm not sure if this is the answer you're looking for but the outer join described in the Dataset part of the video shows how you can return films which don't have a country assigned to them. In the first table you can see No Country for Old Men which has a null CountryID in the Film table. Is that what you meant?
I have a column, it is entirely empty, when I try to replace it with “0”, got errors,if a column partial empty , replace works well, what is wrong here and how to solve this issue? Thanks!
Hi! You'll need to create some sort of date table that contains an entry for each month and combine this with your existing data. You can see some suggestions on how to do this here: stackoverflow.com/questions/45890909/ssrs-display-all-months-in-a-year-with-no-data stackoverflow.com/questions/44549413/ssrs-how-to-show-all-month-of-a-year-as-x-axis-of-a-graph
