SSX - Elysium Alps 

Killmetbh the physics are 10x better than Tricky. The awkward riding in tricky doesn't hold up for me. great SSX is such a niche game and it's more well developed then the celebrities and revamped levels in Tricky. Plus the original levels in this game are better than the revamped versions in my opinion.

Tricky came out in 2001, it is now 2017, and this was literally the first time I have ever heard anyone talk bad about it

Me too. Of course I bought Tricky as soon as I could, but after so many hours in the original, Tricky was too whacky and OTT for my taste.

Played on PS2 and captured with a Pinnacle PCTV tuner/capture card.

SSX was only released on CD-ROM. The blue discs are CD and not DVD but still in PS2 format. Is your console chipped or unaltered?

Micah Bishop Would be something interesting to test. Even just an Audio CD too. Maybe the disc drive can only read DVDs after a hardware fail. It rarely happens but it’s possible. Some Japanese PS2 models can only read DVDs because of age and the way they were built. I know the feeling of not being able to play your favourite games. Let me know if you can test something out. There is also PCSX2 if you have a good PC.

Still the tricky version got worse IMO. Like the pathetic excuse they replaced the loops with at the end...

The Map was larger in tricky, Most of the maps on this game appeared on Tricky. But they were not the same thing. It got way much better.

Rick Skyward not better at all. It's good. But what only makes it hold up is the tricky method in well, tricky. The music is better in this game and so is the niche concept of the game. Tricky is just celebrities and revamped maps. That's where SSX 3 comes in.

You are right with SSX3 But i say Tricky alone was the bomb, I never got a shot of playing the original since my copy unfortunately broke, Or snapped in half. But really from the looks of all three games, Most things have evolved of what we had gotten which was SSX3. Its just my opinion. SSX 2000 was fun as my brother and father say, Tricky was the bomb of every day of my after school hours with my sister, And SSX 3 was the one to take the cake, Free Roaming! More Events And all of that. But yeah. I can agree with some of that comment.

Rick Skyward you should try OG SSX. The physics are amazing and better in that game. Tricky revamped so much from the snowboarding creation aspect, but SSX has charm that I believe makes it better. Plus the physics will never be better than SSX 3. Which makes it the best. Plus everything else about it. That game is PERFECT.
