I subbed you, because you are AWESOME! What a great gift you have, not only your marvellous technique and musicality, but your musicianship as well! The way you move and behave at the scene is adding so much joy to the music! This is anti-depressiva! :D
Has to be my favourite version anywhere ever. Love of the music shines. Indifference of the passers by is inexplicable. Indifference of the musicians to the indifference of the passers by is marvelous.
I think the position of the players and the lack of a hat out at the front allows people to walk past. The fiddler has his back to the people and it closes them off. Little things like that are important when busking.
The acoustics in that walk way must have been amazing. Who could simply walk through there without stopping for just the briefest moment ? The sound would have been the best no matter what the tune was. A real treat for one's ears. I bet anyone could have heard it for a great distance either direction. I would have loved to have been there. A great tune played by talented youngsters. (PS, I play a bit of mandolin myself, so maybe I'm biased.)
look over your shoulder sierra hull. I dont even want to think of what beautiful music those two good mandolinists would play together. well done, and I finally learned the simple guitar back-up. thanks
Fabulous! I'm glad someone referred to her playing on ebay for an F-5 mandolin, I so desperately seek a good quality one for my humble studio, any recommendations would be sincerely appreciated as finances are very limited these days.

This is the way folk music should be played, by musicians playing the tune the way its meant to be played and loving the music more than the performance ! I can't listen to bluegrass because its all about wowing the crowd !
I am glad it was pleasant to you! im not really sure that i understood right but if you need to write down something i am ready to make it it far off) olgertinno@gmail.com
George, according to David Benedict, he thinks the tune came from New Brunswick in Canada. There is apparently a lake called St. Anne's lake. I'd have to go back and look at Dave's version of the tune to be more accurate on the history of the origins. Great tune, by any stretch of the source. Could, however have had roots in Ireland, I suppose. They say the only thing keeping the irish from taking over the world was ALCOHOL ! HA, how true, huh?😁😁😀
@@robertshorthill4153 this is a canadian tune.fiddle reel music is indigenous to scotland having been taken over there by scots settlers since i believe the 1600s. cape breton/ nova scotia.some people do speak scottish gaelic and kept scottish step dancing going there.
