Mr69ireland It is pretty epic. The normal unlimited bangers at big evens are nuts. They'll go full throttle into the back of someone else. The first time I went to see bangers, one of the guys went into the back of a hearse and bent the chassis to behind the head of the driver. Scary but bloody brilliant

kcvous I must admit, when I went into the pits to look around I thought it was going to be pretty good. Admittedly there wasn't too much action but it is just the spectical of it which is great

They clearly weren't limited to what they could run, so they could have all brought high power tractor units if they could find them. Yes, the 7.5 ton Cargo and Leyland-DAFs were outclassed by the Renault and, to a lesser extent, the Seddon-Atkinson tractors, but that's part of the fun. It's not always the driver with the most powerful or heaviest vehicle that wins, it's the one with most skill...
