Saint Edmund Gennings is one of the lesser known of the Martyrs of England yet the account of his life and mission as a hunted young priest in Elizabethan England is worthy of note and interest. This film takes the biographical information that is available on Saint Edmund Gennings and presents it in a 30 minute film using a detailed and clear narrative, devotional and historical paintings, artwork, maps, footage of nature, historical houses and events and simple costumed imagery. Saint Edmund Gennings is linked to many other English Martyrs. He is particularly remembered for his execution outside the home of Saint Swithun Wells after having been captured and tortured for celebrating the outlawed Catholic Mass. In this production the historical documents and biographical accounts available on Saint Edmund Gennings have been represented into a narrative of his own words. This Martyr is particularly noted for his love of the Mass and the English people.
