One can only imagine how much p *** y this guy lapped up in the early to late 80s. I recall in an interview he said something like "This face seats five" ... or maybe it was from one of his movies 🙃
I remember the 80’s when Rob Lowe literally had every hot female under his thumb ha ha. I don’t think there was any man around who was hotter than him at the time.
Everyone know Gilbert hunted him down and tried to hold on to him, but couldn't. He really was too much for her in every way! He is beyond gorgeous, an ultra talented actor and writer, with a fantastic sense of humour. And I'm sure so much more...even now! She was out of her league and STILL hasn't gotten over him.
Yeah there is (was). The 20 something midlife crisis is what I see when I watching this movie after 30 years since college. Somewhere around mid 25 or so there is thus mental bubble that "something else" which means something better is supposed to happen. Then one compares their life to their childhood friends and tries to figure out what went wrong or how to improve things. Kids? Husbaband? Wife? Good Marriage? Secretly Gay? College degree(s) Career? Money? House? Game? Fame? Where is your peg in the game of life? That is the gusto of the movie. I would love to see a sequel with a fifteen minute retrospective on the characters. Now in their mid 50s...(include Covid).
A sequel is a great idea! What happens when the characters lose their parents and become empty nesters? Freed from eldercare and childcare, do they meet up at the pub again? Love to see this!
@@Print229Funny how me and all my friends turned! Not a single person would believe what was going to happen to all of us and the exact opposite of who we were. What a great ride!!
Never liked Rob Lowe back then and purposely skipped his movies. He was just too good looking too much of a ladies man and more for the girls to squeal at. I prefer the funny actors rather than the hunky ones. What finally got me to like him was a TV movie where he didn't speak! I liked his mute portrayal in The Stand (1993) and that's when I first began to like him. But now looking back and seeing these early interviews he looks so young but he also seems grounded, very polite and level headed.
