It’s sad to see town now completely dead, I remember when I was younger walking around with my parents, mother use to work at the Masonic and played bingo close by at a place called the elephant.
I get that you might think people are overreacting by not wanting to be filmed, but you have to understand that St. Helens is a small town, it’s not a city. People don’t go for a day out and expect to be on camera, most people here are scraping £10 at the end of the month and have probably just scragged their hair up and chucked on some trackies and are just trying to go on with their weekly shopping. The decent thing to do really is just automatically blur their faces. I get it’s not illegal but it’s basic respect. All of the above aside, this was a good video. I like how you spoke to the lady & gentleman at the beginning, you actually gave them the time of day and give them a platform to speak on how they are treated by our council ect, and even give credit to the people that helped them. However moments like 19:38 just seemed uncalled for. That man literally just gave you a funny look because at the end of the day someone walking around with a camera isn’t an every day thing in St. Helens. The shouting at him and provoking him was just unnecessary and it honestly seemed like you were just trying to get a reaction out of him for the sake of your video.
Or people can suck it up and get on with their own lives.. you're on camera the moment you're in the town centre... every building you shop in or walk past, you'll be on camera.. people getting butt hurt over being filmed by a vlogger need to relax the f out.
Life in the Mutant Zone Reservation is good. The Party has provided for all the inhabitants' needs. Just yesterday, they took to the streets in a spontaneous demonstration of thanks for their happy new lives.
I can confirm that St Helens is a very sad shadow of its former self ,, ruined by its local authority, bas majority of people are arseholes like the couple of blokes in the clip , but there are plenty decent folk The town center nightlife is the equivalent of the Wild West,, This clip is a brilliant Promotional clip,, Believe me ,, its a lot worse ,,

St helens is a great little town it used to be a mining town years ago well before my time i guess its what you'd call a trap you grow up and end up getting stuck here Most of us are decent people and i hate that our town is basically dying its sad when the place you grow up is a shadow of what it used to be
After moving a year ago I finally decided to visit my hometown St helens. Went out on a night out with my friends and i’ve never seen it so dead. i’m glad I moved tbh the towns gone worse.

Sums up this town perfectly, absolutely hate living here. But fair play for being really polite, and not backing down when those security guards were trying to intimidate you and the homeless. Enjoyed this vid, thank you
Its not all bad , but is a typical day out in the town centre , most the shops have been shutting down for years and the town centre struggling to get back on its feet made worse by covid but was going down hill well before, but like all places it has its bad and its good, well done on getting an honest picture , the empty shops and some of the homeless problems, there are beauty spots in St helens far more worth a look at and video then showing only what negative points our town has to offer.
The people and council have ruined St Helens, not the police putting speed traps where innocent little girls were killed by speeding cars. Absolute shithole now.
13 months after this was filmed and the town centre is even worse, even more of the shops are closed down and the night life is a shell of its former self. Such a shame, about 15 years ago this town was actually respectable, had plenty to do and didn't have half as many smack rats
See the homeless how nice n friendly they were,then the people who call the homeless rotten like they're the salt of the town and it's them idiots that make the town miserable.the homeless are harassed called looked down upon and still they smile n have a chat and they have hard lives..God bless em

Thanks for the video. Pity you missed out the significant main areas for nightlife and restaurants (Bridge street, Westfield street , Ormskirk street, Barrow street, Duke street and North road, Lowe House church and the famous Burchalls. Maybe next time if you return 👍
St Helens RLFC is the only positive thing about this town now. The people aren't as friendly as they used to be and the degradation is as bad as it gets.
I live in St Helens and uts a shithole now ,10 years ago it was thriving and the nightlife was good now its a ghost town,I don't like the old fella who had a go at u but I don't think I'd like my business being filmed either some people don't like being on camera
