Was there that day, and was in the Saints bar on the night when the lads came back. Got to shake big Mal’s hand, god he was huge!!! On a side note, the highlights don’t show it, but Peter Gorley had an outstanding game that day.
Im sure there was a Yorkshire cup final before this game on the same programme, how good was rugby league back then. Id rather see a chip over the top than high boring completion rates, games not as good now, imo. Love this channel 👌
