😅 wow, 4-1! The Big East is not supposed to be pretty, so I’m always happy to get a dub. Despite not being able to put them away in some scary ways, I was proud of how every time Providence came back, St. John’s built it back up and only gave up the lead once. I will say, I wish this type of game was at Carny because they don’t quite feel like home games at MSG and it’s hard to get that home court crowd there. But I can’t complain about MSG lol, I just love that vibe at a packed Canesecca. Thanks for the podcast, appreciate you guys reacting to our comments too. Survive and advance!

You guys got it right - it was a W! Despite lackadaisical play, bone head court presence, crucial missed FTs. I thought during his minutes, Zuby actually outplayed Joel, who sometimes suffers from a lack of concentration. Pitino will have a lot to teach after this one, and as you pointed out, lots to learn but still escaped with the W. Hope for W over Creighton - National ranking to follow!
Totally agree Rich. Zuby came in to spell Joel and immediately made his presence known. As Pat pointed out, it’s a small thing but Zuby is already a tremendous screen setter. If he can sustain that high level of play we saw glimpses of in this game it’ll really help lessen some of the loss when Joel graduates after this year.
What an important win. At half I said to myself, look at my team. They looked final four tough. Then it was role reversal in second half. Carter is like a Donovan Mitchell jr. Well have players like that soon. I drove to work depressed n had to remind myself that we won. Better to have a win like that than a horrible collapsing lose. Good teams win when not at their best. RJ with the play of the year in the rebound. Dunlap should never miss a free throw. That has to be fixed. I was thinking that we were going to have our 4th double digit lead. If we take Creighton they can't possibly keep us off the top 25 rankings anymore. Lastly I would love to see Pitino play soriano n Zuby at the same time with Zuby at the 5. Would free up Joel.
