THIS AMAZING TALK IS WORTH EVERY SECOND OF IT! Glory be to God who gave us Saint Joseph the Worker as a glorious example of total self-giving to God and his work, to his wife Mary Most Holy and to the divine son freely adopted by his heart, Jesus. By God's design and will, Mary gave Jesus her Immaculate womb. Joseph gave Jesus the pure heart of the greatest man and father ever on Earth, the one we need today so badly to bring real men and real fathers back so we can become real sons and real daughters of God. Praise be to Christ the King!!
I am so thankful for this! Not enough is said in the Church about the fact the Holy Family wasn't made up of titles and degrees , rather simple and ordinary laborers. Especially in the USA, which has been a world superpower and empire, the idols of academics, degrees, prestige and money are all too frequently the primary driving force, EVEN in the church. Laborers are treated as second-class citizens rather than the beating heart of our society. I hope this opens the eyes of Catholics who overlook the fact a majority of Catholics are simple laborers, not college graduates or theologians.
thanks Gabi for this talks about St. Joseph. i am currently doing the Consecration to St. Joseph (Fr. Donald Calloway) and the timing is so perfect. ❤🙏✝️🇵🇭
This is a side note question I’m hoping you or another pastor can answer. I’ve posted it with Keith N. also. I’m looking into Catholicism and I’m also watching The Chosen series. In the Chosen series season 4, episode 2, the Apostles recite the Hashkiveinu prayer before sleeping. Do you know why the hashkiveinu prayer doesn’t show up anywhere in Christian prayers? This brings up other questions on how many other Jewish prayers are not passed down and why. Tyi. God bless you all and your ministry and all the good and faithful pastors 💜✝️💜
Hey there, I’m not a priest but I am a practicing Catholic and I know we don’t do Jewish prayers or traditions because God’s people are no longer Jewish. When Jesus came to establish a new covenant, he created a new way to worship and the apostles replaced the Jewish authorities. So we are called Christians and we follow the authority and traditions of the Church He established. (Like how we’re not called to circumcise as a sign of the covenant anymore, we baptize)
