@humanipulationnation It's like standing across from Justin Tucker. When you're facing a kicker that can make it from that distance consistently, it's almost like you're playing against a team that you accept has a cheat code. So no, I wouldn't get too down. Jake Bates will be in the NFL soon.
THIS is why the UFL is so important. Such drama, such amazing fight by everyone, so much excitement all the way till the end and commentators giving all that passion! Awesome work.
That is why i love spring league football. Guys getting a second chance or showing their talent from players being overlooked. So this league is able to give these guys some experience. There were some good throws and catches in these games. Looking forward to some more awesome games this season.
I am a season ticket holder for the Michigan Panthers and we gotta get more fans to the game to create a home field advantage. $100 for the season and I sit in the 1st row right by the players. You can't beat that deal man $20 a game!
@trombonekingdom I sure hope so, we only have 5 home games man. And we start off with 3 home games in a row before we ultimately hit the road. Next week we got the defending champions.
What an absolute amazing league opener, I want to go to a game now. What a bomb of a kick too, I think we will be seeing Bates on a NFL squad soon enough
It will be in time. We need to buy merch and attend games or watch the games. And click the like buttons on these videos to get views to show sponsors that we support it :)
Once Perry settled down and collected himself he and the boys in plum were ready to pounce, I was there and you wouldn't believe how loud it was when Bates sunk the FG. That kid has a bright future ahead and stuff like that is what makes Spring Football so great
When the USFL started in 2022, for whatever reason, the kicking was beyond atrocious. It had no reason being that bad when just two years earlier, the XFL had decent kickers. It's good now. USFL and XFL had good kicking last year too.
@@osaji922it was because of the chip sensors in the footballs that were making the kickers that year miss. The kicking got better after they removed them
That kicker is an example of why i wish the ufl/xfl/usfl just merged with the NFL and acted as a G-league. With every team having their own lower tier team that wears the same jerseys and play at the same stadium as their NFL counterpart. It would give every team an additional 52-player team that would be the practice squad, but they'd actually get in-game reps, and there would be more coaches getting opportunities.
I think it would benefit everyone (including the NFL) to form a formal partnership with the UFL. Similar to how the NHL announced they would support a pro women's hockey now that two different leagues have also merged into one (PWHL).
@Knightmessenger for sure, they could test out rule changes before implementing them in their main product. I also think summer tailgating and football bbqs would be amazing along with a 4th of July championship.
I think spring games for colleges should look like, and this would act as a preseason for the usfl Michigan Panthers vs Michigan Wolverines Stl Battlehawks vs Mizzou Tigers Memphis Showboats vs Tennessee Volunteers DC Defenders vs Ohio State Buckeyes (Since maryland and Virginia's colleges dont have the talent to keep up with a spring league pro team) San Antonio Brahmas vs Texas Longhorns Houston Roughnecks vs Texas A&M Arlington Renegades vs Clemson Tigers (sonce virginias colleges couldnt keep up) Birmingham Stallions vs Alabama Crimson Tide/Georgia Bulldogs And just thought about it. Notre Dame used to play pro football and college football at the same time. This was around 100 years ago lol
First two XFL Teams have lost in the first week. But besides that, E.J has a good scrambling game and passing game making him a good Hybrid Dual Threat. Running Back and Kicker for Michigan will definitely do good this season. Michigan will be a powerhouse imo with their offense. As for the Hawks, They look good like last Season, McCarron is definitely a solid quarterback and leader and his receivers are top notch. I definitely will have high expectations for the Panthers and BattleHawks going forward until further notice.
@wwltd3036 Oakland and San Diego lost the Raiders and Chargers. Plus, STL fans who are mad at Kroenke for moving the Rams back to Tinseltown/Hollywood want a rival to the Battlehawks.
This will be a league where you could go from worst to first pretty quickly. All the good players will be plucked away by NFL teams, which is really the purpose of this league. Very fun games to go to.
