Ahhh pizza...round object, (usually) cut into triangles and served in a square box! 😆 Rumor is, square cut pizza - sometimes called "Tavern cut" - started in (surprise) taverns because the slices fit perfectly on a bar napkin. 🤷♂
Angela, you must have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express too! Cody the saying is if it’s free it’s for me, another one is my name is Jimmy I’ll take all you give me. Very nice video you never cease to amaze me. Somehow I got unsubscribed but I’m back and haven’t miss any adventures. I forgot very nice music had a good beat. What’s wrong with y’all it’s a southern thing, like we love y’all.
🤣I have never heard the Jimmy-Give Me! Thank you for your kind words and for supporting us! The unsubscribed situation is very frustrating. Thank you for letting us know. We will keep reporting them to RU-vid, but it is so odd!
St. Louis is a great location to visit! I once stated at Union Station (hotel part) and called my Dad to let him know where I was. He asked me where in the building I was and told him and told me a location by the shops and he told me he helped build several of the walls and floors back in the day when my dad and mom lived in St. Louis. It became personal. Been there several times with my family - history. The children’s museum is awesome even for big kids like me! Zoo! So glad y’all enjoyed it! Pizza - eight corner deep dish is #1 - any meat lovers pizza with jalapeños
My husband and I will be passing through the area later this year, so we appreciate all of these great ideas of places to visit. Oh, and I'm with Cody -- there's no such thing as a bad pizza. I'm a fan of deep dish. I make my own deep dish skillet pizza (a skill I learned during the first lockdown in 2020). But I should also point out that both my husband and I like pineapple on our pizza (typical Canadians 😄), so I'm wondering whether Cody would consider that a "bad pizza" 😄. Thanks for another great video 😊
I’m with you Cody. Cheap or free is better. Lol. We are at Sampson state park in New York. They are a military museum here. Nice museum for donation. It’s worth your time. Oh weather is in low 80s too. Thanks for the videos.
Some things don't look very "artistic" but get called art. LOL. Wow, did not know about Lone Elk Park! Thank you for showing us. Great suggestion about the water line. We really enjoyed our visit to St. Louis too. Great video about the location. - Michelle
I like the idea of a shutoff valve. I have a tank fill valve on our mh. When I hook up I always set it to tank fill to purge the air, then switch it to city water for the duration of the stay.
im not sure if ive ever tried that style pizza, but for the last 10yrs, pizza hut pan pizza has been my favorite with lots of toppings (supreme, meat lovers, etc). the crust makes the pizza in my opinion.
I hope you liked my hometown. There are lots of great places to visit and see… You were right by my RV park in Lone Elk Park. I’m at the Rjourney in Villa Ridge, Mo. Love the show!
Oh that would have been cool!! We weren’t in the “best” place for sure, but we picked a placed close to some friends. We would try some other places though.
If only there was a way to remotely and automatically shut off the water to your rig! 😂😂 On another note, we just shoot some water to the FW tank until we hear all the air has passed.
Great Video! Born and raised in The Lou but have lived in Connecticut the last 3 years. Grew up in Arnold just south of STL on 55. I worked as a bottler at Anheuser Busch for 2 years while I was in college. I'm a licensed architect and I used to go to the Cahokia Mounds. We lived in Valley Park and used to drive through Lone Elk Park all the time. The Lumiere Sculpture Park is amazing during Xmas. Zoo is great, Jewel Box is a classic prom picture opportunity. Zia's, cunnetos...all great! I am shocked by how many of the best places to go in the Lou you captured!
Wow!! You're in our town!! Sadly, because we know the crime rate in many of the areas you visited.............we tend to stay away. But we sure do LOVE Lone Elk Park!!
It is unfortunate, but most states have areas like that. I know St. Louis has some areas where you don't want to go. You hate to disparage any place, but it's true. It is still a great place to visit though. There are so many cool things! If this hadn't been such a last-minute, quick trip, I think we would have been able to dive in a bit more. We frequent areas, just a couple of hours from there, so maybe next time! :)
SLAM, Art Hill, the Grand Basin, the History Museum, the Zoo, the Science Center, the new Cathedral, Ted Drewes, Creve Coeur Lake -- as a native St. Louisan, I could go on and on. People are super friendly and will go out of their way to help. Also, check out St. Charles and St. Charles County --we love Big Joel's -- it costs $, but so fun. Oh and it is pronounced Low-Meyer --
Thanks for sharing, need to go back and catch up on the last few videos. We were in N. KY/ Cincinnati celebrating our Daughter Angela's 50th birthday. Thanks for the great content.
I used to load and unload downtown and around the airports in St. Louis.... Traffic is a nightmare after 0530hrs... but the city has so many good people around it... There's bad places also, but overall it's a big spread out place... 20-30 minutes in bout every direction and you're in the country!!
That was nice seeing St. Louis through your lens, were you there on a Sunday, because traffic sure looked light. ?? And "the hill" looks like a place that I would enjoy!!
I was on a paddle boat tour years ago and we landed and disembarked at the arch. It is awesome in person. Definitely not a thin crust person. Love the dough!
That would be neat! The arch is beautiful up close, for sure! The tram took us by surprise (not sure exactly what we expected). The ride down was crazy fast.
Thank you. 👋🙂. I really enjoy your videos. Always informative and interesting. You guys are an incredible team. 💪😊. You guys even have the better commercials than most. Oh love that eye. And your truck sure is pretty. 😁🎶🌈. 😂 I didn't know that little air in the line trick, thanks. It's always the little things, your so right. Id also like to say how you guys have awesome camera shots. Look forward to seeing you in the next video. 😋
Thank you so much! We don't get to choose our commercials, but I'm glad they aren't stinkers. haha. We have watched some on other channels and went...whaaaattt is this? lol
Pizza looked delicious! I love my pizza thin crust with sausage, onions and peppers. Here in Northern Delaware the only place to get good thin crust was Pats Pizza but the restaurant closed. Looked like a nice place to visit! I’ll keep saying I love the retakes, thanks for all your hard work!
@@RVUntethered It may be the first State but it’s a small Sate. Don’t blink when driving through you will miss it. Enjoy your visit, I look forward to see where you go, probably lower state beaches.
Great video been on vac in Ohio got on the net and started catching up. St Louis wild be a great place to go to and the pizza looked good. If you haven’t ever been to Geneva on the lakes is a great spot to visit on Lake Erie.
We do the same in our Class A. We set the bedroom ac 3 degrees cooler than the main area. Plus we close 1-2 vents (ducted) and that forces more air from the bedroom ac to the main area. Concerning pizza, have you found that you tend to eat more if the pizza is cut into squares? Maybe that is just us...lol. We also see that you referenced Sugar Fire. We try to stop by every time we are in the area. Travel safe!
I’ve acquired a preference for thin crust with more toppings cut in squares, like that pizza you were eating. Many years ago pizza hut pan pizza was the best even though it was so heavily salted there wasn’t enough water to quench the thirst it caused. Yikes.
We did STL last fall for the Metallica concert. Eat at “the hill”. Go to the zoo and art museum. Go see Busch stadium. Visit the Arch and ride the paddle wheel boat.
@@atexanBahaha! Come to think of it, I believe our friends told us about it. We were just doing a lot of “private” visiting and grad parties..etc. Next time, we need to actually do some of those. 😊
It does say that the square cut was invented in Chicago! Interesting! Of course, when I think of “Chicago style”, I think of the deep dish, one slice meal. 😁. You can find the square cut all throughout the Midwest though and the cheeses primarily make a “St Louis” style, what it is. I think you can even buy the provel cheese in a lot of the stores down there. It tastes a lot more mild, cold. But melted, it has a pretty donating flavor.
From the factory, a single air conditioner on an RV your size is obscene. We have 3 ACs on a 43 ft motorhome and it can barely keep up during peak summer months.
Haha You’re right! We lived in Minnesota at the time, so that’s where we bought ours. They assured us that one would be sufficient for our rig. We figured out by our first few trips out, that they were counting on Minnesota weather for that. 🤣
I know that you didn't have enough time to see every thing, BUT you missed a lot of FREE THINGS. The Old Court House, if you like history. The ZOO a top 10 zoo in the world, The Art museum, Missouri History Museum, and my house. You could have brought some of that IMO's pizza over. See you next time.
I admit, I don’t understand the issue with the American flag at ALL. But I also admit that I haven’t taken time to go look it up…because I think it’s to create division and I’m not going to give it my time and energy. I’m not going to let someone take that away. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
the best things in life are free, because Free is the best price!! haha what happened to "you get what you pay for"? probably just a marketing ploy to get people to pay higher prices for things? ' buy Nike Jordan shoes for $500' and you'll get your moneys worth of advertising, support of a few rich guys, child labor, and of course the shoes that were made in the sweat shop in Vietnam... but you got what you paid for! haha
Hi guys. We were trying to find a way to send you a direct message but can't find you on messenger or Instagram. How can we reach out? We want to run something by you.
