I would like to share a theological theory that came to my mind some months ago. In Daniel ch12 vs 5 it reads, " And I Daniel looked, and behold as it were two others stood: one on this side upon the bank of the river, and another on that side, on the other bank of the river. It came to my mind before I was aware of this passage that Saint Michael, Saint Elias and Saint John the Baptist are the same being but three distinct persons fully that being each in themselves. In Kings 4 ch2 vs9-10 it reads, And when they were gone over, Elias said to Eliseus: Ask what thou wilt have me to do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Eliseus said: I beseech thee that in me may be thy double spirit. And he answered: Thou hast asked a hard thing. Nevertheless if thou see me when I am taken from thee, thou shalt have what thou hast asked: but if thou see me not, thou shalt not have it. In Saint Luke ch1 vs17 it reads regarding Saint John the Baptist, And he shall go before Him in the spirit and power of Elias: ... . After Our Lord came down from the mountain with Peter James and John they asked, "Does not the scriptures say Elias must come first and restore all things". And Our Lord said to them, Elias will indeed come and restore all things but I tell you Elias has already come and they did not recognize him but did as they will to him as it is written of him such as they will do to the Son of Man".
