Nice to see. Its a few years since we have sailed into St Ninian's or seen the red buoy at Ardlamont where my parents are in permanent residence. Maybe visit before the end of the season.
Thanks Chris. As for anchorages, there are so many! My first suggestion would be to buy the Antares charts that cover the whole of the west coast. Many of the anchorages that I might suggest are in there.
Hey Andrew, I really enjoy your cruising vids...you have one of the worlds best cruising grounds and you seem to enjoy it in a very seamanlike manner. Now you are up and dry for the winter, could you let us have some tech stuff; your boat, her sails, engine performance and issues, and most importantly, how you are getting on with the winter punch list?
Thanks Jon - we love sailing around this part of the world, and although biased as I have been sailing here from childhood, I agree that it is the best😆 We plan to create some videos in the future, such as a boat tour (which will cover all the changes that we have made in our 9 years of ownership) - but possibly one of the first will be a battery upgrade. I have 2 lithium batteries arriving soon! As for the winter job list, we've not got very far at all, and she goes back in the water in around 4 weeks time 🤣
Hi guys, first time watch enjoyed it. Well done with the drone. I still struggle to launch when stationary let alone under sail. Love Tarbet how lucky you are to be there.
No facebook page I'm afraid. As for inflating our tender, we have a 12v socket in the anchor locker that we connect the pump to. It takes its feed from the windlass power supply, so no issues with power draw there. Hope that helps.
Thanks Chris! The drone handle is 3D printed, and bought off eBay I think. It simply goes around the drone body, with a screw at the top, and the handle extending below. It wasn't very expensive, around £10 I think.
