I totally had that exact same idea myself after watching just a couple of Henri's videos... That is, "that metronomic left hand!" If anyone has a similarly agreeable left hand I'd insure it for $10 Million at least. I love Henri's use of more dissonant chords and themes here and there too, he really mixes it up, all the while....that left hand boogie just don't and won't relent. What a great player!
Thankyou Cole. I enjoyed our duet - hopefully next time I'm over the pond we can film one in person! I hope all is well. Keep playing that great music.
This is STRAIGHT FIRE!!! Henri Herbert is BACK JACK at the Pancras terminal! Fitting it's at a train station because this piece is a TOTAL LOCOMOTIVE! On a side note, very skilled swing-dancers can actually do 8-step dancing to this. Very quick tempo. Very cool. HH is one swinging cat.
Henri Herbert - a truly great pianist and boogie woogie artist. No hype, no nonsense - let's his skill do the talking :) :) I've bought some albums and they're great listening. :)
Henri herbert your the best boogie player i have ever heard in my life my dad played boogie when i was a small boy so i was brought up with the piano in the house my dad invited friends round at new year as i lived in scotland but you make that piano talk i wish my dad was alive to hear you henri❤
Excellent execution and arrangement of the Keith Emerson's "Piano improvisation". Am I right? I recognized it after a couple of the left hand turns... Great stuff! Thank you.
