A lovely sunny day increased the St Patrick's Day spirit. Following Mass at the Holy Cross Church on New Walk hundreds of people turned out for the St Patrick's Parade through Leicester City centre. Leicester Branch of Comhaltas, McManus Irish Dance School and most of the Irish organisations based in Leicester and Leicestershire joined in the parade for that very special day. The Parade was led by the Nottinghamshire Police Pipe Band. The clip is the edited highlights of the parade as it made its way from New Walk to Humberstone Gate.
The St Patrick's Day Parade was organised by the Emerald Centre and Leicester and Leicestershire Irish Forum and was supported by the Irish Emigrant Support programme and Leicester City Council.
