Matthew 21: 12-17. Commercialization of God is appalling to me & apparently to Jesus himself as well. The ultimate source of love being sold for man’s profits is small minded. I appreciate the history of the building but entering the cathedral and any other building like it makes me feel like what I imagine Jesus felt like on that day in the temple. We are the temple. God is in us, not in a cathedral, a crucifix or four leaf clover socks from the gift shop. Thank you for the comment.

@@DraysWorld St patricks is only the national cathedral of the church of ireland which is a protestant domination whereas ireland is predominantly catholic.Catholics would consider st patricks cathedral in armagh the national cathedral

@@DraysWorld Thats true but the reality is that it would be a crumbling ruin otherwise.Its a protestant cathedral in an oberwhelming catholic country and increasingly secular country so it can't really survive only on donations from the congregation.
