Players compete for roster spots at the first open player tryout for the St. Pete Tide's inaugural 2016-17 American Basketball Association (ABA) season. This video contains extensive footage of the drills portion of the tryout.
I remember when I tried out for the middle school basketball team, I didn’t make it, I worked hard that summer, I tryout my 9th grade year, the varsity coach is now deciding if I should play Jv or varsity
@@lucashufner8890 I’m fully aware , still a racist comment. I can’t say black boy , she shouldn’t be able to say white boy. But y’all just gonna ignore that huh?
Lmfaooooo you can tell most these dudes nervous af they runnin way too fast and going crazy after they miss one layup like nobody cares that one random dude missed a layup
Nothing wrong with it when you nervous and emotional about the game it just shows you love the game. It’s normal even MJ saids he felt it before every game
@@hgdd9067 I did pretty good but got super sick the next day so I couldn't tryout for the second day, were extremely upset but I'm fine now, thanks for asking.
I like the drill sets, seems to keep all involved pretty active for the numbers they have. Talent looks good for a varsity high school team, but this is pro ball?
missed dunks, unecessary dunks period so wasted miss. Missed layups ? players shooting out of their range in drills for no reason, no one squares up or follows thru with the shots. and why are they trying putbacks on rebounded misses during a line drill? they already missed the required shot, if you missed the jumper wide open, who gives a fuck if you grab the offensive rebound and 2nd shot opportunity if there's no defense? It just disrupts the line drill causing other players to miss their jumpshot under the same wide open conditions. Its lame they even caused a bounce out goaltend. and if you missed a layup or dunk in the line drill, wide open why even try for the outback, even if it was gametime there's no redeeming that, because that means it was a low percentage shot choice, an unforced error only caused by a lack of fundamental basketball skills or tired desperate and needs some bench rest.
this is embarrassing to watch. these are some untalented scrappers. No jumpshot skills, no layup finishing skills, no fundamentals. A game would be like turnover brick city.
@@RanMaru144 there just serious adult hoopers who want to compete Competitively and seriously, that's what semi pro basketball is,an avenue for series everyday hoopers ,not pro players thats trying to make it overseas or NBA. Respect to these dudes along with players that play semi pro football, soccer and other sports. They out here instead of talking behind a keyboard or wherever talking about the good old days and what they use to do or would do to someone.
