This was a great video! My husband and I are looking to relocate to the St. Pete/ Tampa area. We are looking for a high-rise rental. I am going to check out your other videos.
We live in the jungle terrace neighborhood. We love it. Yes they are smaller older homes. We bought ours in 2018. It has doubled in value. But, as with a older house. We had to elevate a lot of problems with it. It was built on a old chicken farm. They buried the old chicken old wooden chicken coops. So we had to have a couple corners of our with a few helical piers that where not covered under a home warranty. $18,000 to be exact. Great neighborhood. We are within ten to fifteen minutes from Medira Beach. Five minutes from Bay Pines boat ramp. There are always smaller homes up for sale from $350,000 to $500,000. Love this video!!!!!
How did you skip Old Northeast? I understand it has affordability issues, but as far as best areas - it has to be near the top of the list. I guess you briefly mentioned it in a list of areas people want to live in, but really deserves at least a brief discussion.
Older homes tend to be on higher ground. Back then they had their pick and they picked the high ground. Evacuating for hurricanes is not fun. You might flee to safety, but all your "stuff" will be left behind. Something to consider. An elevation map would have completed your video.
Gulf port is a thumbs down. i have worked in the area a few times over the years and felt very threatened. i wouldn't live there for free. Tyrone mall is deserted. really don't think it will be open in a few years. that goes for a lot of malls though.
Wow! I must be old. I can remember when Sears was all by itself and then they built Tyrone Mall, I guess about 1970. We used to spend Saturday mornings at the Science Center nearby. Malls are a dying breed.
Heard Pinellas County is the most expensive County to live in in Fl. Wondering what your thoughts were regarding that. Do you find that to be true? Thnx!
