I don't understand. If the nuns were pure souls,is it not because they practice their Catholic faith well? Why try to convert them??Did he succeed??

Come on people! it seems like yall do not understand what the filioque really is nor do you understand the head bishop (pope) position clearly stated in the bible. READ THE CATHOLIC CATECHISM!

This just strenghten my catholic faith. Those nuns were such a pure souls which he didnt see for a long time and he was with orthodox nuns monks etc because they ( CATHOLIC nuns) were folllowing teachings of CATHOLIC Church of ROME, prayers and sacraments of the church, teachings of the saints which included papism etc etc.. They probably didnt convert, we would know if in Italy exist orthodox nun monastery which converted from catholicism. Thanks for this video, i like st. Prophyrios, have books about him. St Nicodemos the Hagiorite (+1809) writes concerning the Papists: "So, following what has been said, since the form of the Apostolical Canon demands it, we declare that the baptism of the Latins is one which falsely is called baptism, and for this reason it is not acceptable or recognizable either on grounds of rigorism or on grounds of economy. It is not acceptable on grounds of rigorism: (1st) because they are heretics... (2nd [regarding economy]) The latins are unbaptized because they do not observe the three immersions which have to be administered to the one being baptized, as the Orthodox Church has received instructions from the HOly Apostles... So the Latins cannot even perform a baptism because they are heretics and have lost the grace required to celebrate Christian rites."

I think some of these Orthodox commenters have missed the whole point.

Italy One day will become Traditional (orthodox) Catholic as St Porphyrius said. Traditional Latin Mass will return to Rome. Rome will become Orthodox again. Ave Christus Rex

I am an ex RC monk who suffered under its artificial infrastructures. The first time I entered an orthodox monastery I felt the heavens open and sweet Grace and the tears of God's presence. It was a true homecoming. Another ex Catholic monk friend of mine had a similar reaction... It still took me 6 years and 3 goes at the catechumenate to convert. Sweet Holy Orthodoxy, the lights came on. It was the fullness.

Saints have mysterious ways ..

If they converted, could they keep the Western Rite? This nunnery might predate the Schism. Italy has many such ancient ones, and our common Saints are always a good starting point for discussion. It would have been interesting if he could have debated Padre Pio in light of all the harm Bugnini was then causing and how that disproves Vatican 1. That anti-priest did as much harm in one generation to the Latin Rite as all the erroneous popes since 1054 COMBINED.

What would be the point to convert an already pure soul to orthodoxy what would be the point to convert a soul period from Catholic to orthodox or even the other way around or even the coptics we three are teachers of the exact same truths. The difference is in cultural traditions. Same exact body of believers with different traditions same church. There is no point to that kind of conversion. Truthfully how can it be?
