St. Rose of Viterbo was born in the 13th Century. St. Rose of Viterbo demonstrated signs of extraordinary holiness even as a baby. There is one incident in St. Rose’s life, however, that made her quite famous…even a hero of the 13th Century...and that was her courageous stand against the evil emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, namely, Frederick II, also known as Frederick the Great. According to Pope Gregory IX, of holy memory, Frederick the Great was a preambulus Antichristi…or in English…Frederick was a prefigurement or foreshadowing of the Anti-Christ to come. Frederick had some of those traits that will be present in the Anti-Christ. As we see from the life of St. Rose of Viterbo and the evil example of Frederick the Great, the spirit of Anti-Christ is always present. In fact, this evil spirit of rebellion against the Most High is especially present among us today. The time of the coming of the actual Anti-Christ is not known exactly, but until that time, let us resist that same false spirit after the example of St. Rose of Viterbo. Whatever Frederick's flaws, and this priest makes it sound like learning Arabic is a mortal sin, he did return Jerusalem to Latin rule again for a brief time after Salahadin died. This homily was given apparently while Barack Obama was President (I am writing in 2020) and this priest was trying to play on the fears of his audience during that time and is an excellent example why people and especially priests should not mix theology and prophecy with their own private political opinions based on the news of the day.

YAHUWEHISMIGHTY Hardly. So basically you're saying every Christian for the first 1500 years of Christendom who were catholics who worshipped the holy trinity and venerated the blessed virgin Mary, not worshipped, which likely includes all of your ancestors and all of your family's ancestors and nearly all the modern day christian's ancestors of every current denomination are all in hell. Please fight your battle against satan with the truly lost, the agmostics, atheists, pagans, satanists, freemasons, fornicators, true idolatora, lovers of self, the list could go on. There are about a million yiutube channels covered in filth and sin that you could go evangelize to. Go there now while there is still time. At least you know Jesus and that is a start. Focus on Him and saving lost souls not catholics who assembled the bible and carried the christianity you know and love today, and we all love, throughout 1500 years so you can partake of it now. Now all that being said, there is most definitely corruption in the church and apostasy is coming, as well as chastisement, as it will come to the world at large, all of that has been prophesied. The first time this video popped up it said “Recommended for You” but I did not watch it, but if it came back again I promised myself I would. A little unsettling to listen to, thank God for St. Rose🙏🤍 So extremely bold and in love with the Blessed Lord. I have been struggling to pray the rosary everyday and hearing this homily gave me greater determination. Now is great time.. now is an urgent time truly to pray the rosary. Mother Mary please be a mother to us all... especially as the time passes we are getting closer and closer to these times...

Praying the Rosary can be hard some days, try breaking it up with a decade in the morning maybe 2 in the afternoon then 2 in the evening. Good luck to you and God bless, He knows you're trying.

God has chosen to communicate to us even outside scripture; hence we have so many Catholic saints, saints chosen by God, used by God to fulfill his mission and give Him glory. That is why we have so many awesome saints. Dominic, de Montfort, St. Catherine (miraculous medal) Saint Faustina, St. Gertrude the Great, Saint Margaret Mary, Saint Bridget of Sweden, Saint Gemma Galgani, many of whom has specific missions in the history of our nation and world, to bring men back to God.

I'm visited that place and St.Rose body. It was a beautiful experience and were the days they filmed a George Clooney movie. That Saint story was incredible. She is very powerful.

Just like the story of St. Rose and the witch is this story which occurred 100 yrs ago in the Western Indian state of Gujarat: A satanic witch doctor kept the tribals under his control by walking on water, fire and nails on a full moon night. A Priest told him to stop exploiting the tribals. He told the priest to stop him if he could. On the next full moon night, the priest prayed to Christ and the tantrik prayed to Satan and then tried to walk on fire. He got burned and rushed out. He tried to walk on water but sank and gave up. The tribals became free of his exploitation and got Baptised. They are Christians till today inspite of the hindu BJP government trying to make them give up the faith with persecution.

Two different King Fredricks. Fredrick the Great was from the 1700’s. (The one the Nazi’s idolized as father mentioned). The Fredrick mentioned in this video, as well as depicted, is Fredrick II. (13th century).

YAHUWEHISMIGHTY this will always be the case when you believe God to be of your mental level. If you let God wear your shoes then you're pinning Him down to your human level. God knows what is inside our hearts. If He sees Catholic praying in front of an image, being God and an all knowing God, He knows how sincere a Catholic prayers would be. He knows that though one is praying in front of an image but the heart and mind belongs to Him. So, jealousy and hatred resides only in human mind but God's power cannot be fathomed by anybody else.If you say, It is written in the Bible, Catholic would also say we have the tradition. Bible plus Tradition makes the Catholic Faith. By the way, who made the Bible? Who did compile and painstakingly transcribed the writings in scroll until they were printed in text?

Friends, I must make a correction. The Holy Roman emperor of saint rose’s time was Frederick II Barbarossa. The Frederick the great of Hitlers hero status was Frederick the Great king of Prussia, of the miracle of the house of Hohenzollern fame and not to come until the days of Voltaire in the eighteenth century. First time I’ve seen such a mistake by this learned father

Larry Cera hello and greetings. Just to clarify matters further Frederick II of St. Rose time was NOT Barbarossa. Frederick Barbarossa, sometimes known as "Frederick I" lived 1122-1190. St Rose 1233 -1251. Frederick II 1194 -1250. Frederick the Great 1712 -1786. Peace.

I read books about Hitler's interest in occultism, and he was fascinated with the Spear of Destiny. Although I am not Catholic. I am a daughter of TMH I believe saints as the cloud of witnesseses prays for us. I do not pray to statures or pictures of TMH . I do feel the prayers of Saints and those WHO are praying for us to stay strong and keep the Faith.

There has NEVER been a catholic teaching that people should prayer to statues and pictures. That is idolatry that is extremely condemned by the Catholic Church. No Catholic prays to photos and statues

I think you are mistaking Frederick the great (18th century) and frederick II, Holy Roman Emperor (13th century) when you say Hitler admired Frederick the great, i believe it is the 18th century frederick

I think that the medieval Holy Roman Emperor Frederick the Great mentioned in the sermon is not the same one that was admired by Hitler. That Frederick the Great was the King of Prussia in the 18th century.

Her feast day 4th Sept. l'm not sure, at 15 years old, she raised her aunt from the dead. She stayed at home, indoors all her life. She died at 17 y. o. She was one of those extraordinary human beings that God allowed. Fascinating short life

Was it really necessary to have a bash at liberals? That completely took me by surprise! A liberal is defined as someone open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values. Those who followed Jesus were liberal people, the Pharisees were conservatives and traditionalists. If a little 3 year old saint could raise someone from the dead, there is no reason to think that the infant Jesus, then and later could not have done what the infancy gospels wrote of Him. If the stories were corrupted in translation or otherwise, we should revise and FIX them.
