St Teresa of Avila's Nine Grades of Prayer - Lesson One 

I am so totally excited about this. St. Teresa of Avila is my name Saint. I have read several of her books and I am hoping that this gives me yet another and deeper perspective. As a spiritual director, many times I am asked to "break down" prayer in an understandable way. Lesson 1 has already enabled me to better explain it. I was hoping to find the PERFECT Lenten observance and I truly believe this is it. Thank you, science of sainthood for making it available free of charge for Lent.

What was the Church doing before St. Theresa of Avila arrived? 3. If we spend so much time reading about the grades of prayer, does that account as praying? I was struggling with understanding why I couldn’t take what people say lightly, and it was I had no interior recollection to recognize that evil words are spoken when wisdom is present (per Imitation of Christ by Thomas A Kempis).
