As part of the annual GEICO High School Football Kickoff weekend, no. 1 ranked St. Thomas Aquinas made the cross country trip to Concord, California to face perennial power De La Salle.

De la salle is insane. Were they under sized, yes. But the effort by the players on every single play is why they were able to move the ball. Those run handoffs looked so crisp as well
As far I can remember they been the same! Attention to detail, nothing fancy just awesome effort and swarm to the ball on defense and execution and ball security on offense. Great program they got running for a very long time now
I just wish they played like a team who believed they had a chance to win. Mentally DLS and fans were defeated before the game even started. They acted like Aquinas were GODS they were just happy to be apart of this i hate that. No way you win when you have no real faith you have a shot at winning.
Y’all must not know. De la salle were never known for having size on there team. It’s there off-season training where the linemen are running track and being timed. Why else do they run the ball 90% of the time. Stop the run you stop de la salle. Facts.
epa tongan It’s kinda hard to stop the run when two of your players are forced to be wrong every play. That’s the beauty of the veer; you run it right, the defense can never be right
ya but like almost everytime they try to pick it up they end up just hitting it further because it’s kind of hard to pick a football off the ground full speed
@@Tennkings-rb3eb Yeah because they aren't well coached like DLS. STA is basically a college team playing against kids and DLS still hung with them just because they're so disciplined and conditioned.

I am from fort lauderdale went to the game in 2011 and this year in concord and sat with DLS fans they were defeated before the game even started they act like STA are not humans lol. They loose football games and to teams with alot less than DLS but those teams have heart and believe they CAN win. De la salle football team and fans were just happy to be playing and hosting Aquinas. It was pathetic. They could have easily won this game but that looser mentality will get you every time. And this is the great DE LA everyone talks about? (They have no MARBLES...) Ballz.

@@Tennkings-rb3eb I guarantee no one for DLS "quit" before the game started. They came out and punched Aquinas in the mouth on the first drive. People are telling you their happy to host STA because their trying to be nice to you lol. How is that pathetic?? Anyways, I think DLS had maybe 2-3 guys with D1 offers on their team, so the fact they almost beat a recruited superteam like STA shows the type of heart they got.
I remember when De Lasalle came to South Florida to play STA several years ago and STA absolutely DESTROYED Lasalle. It was like 56-7 or somthing like that.
I see them Chiefs got revenge against Deerfield 24-12 for the 2017 loss. Every year they hype them up and it's the same story. 2005 6A state🏈runner-up that's all they have.

@@Hamoanese DJ disappointed me(well the team did) when they played in the Playoffs last YEAR. The first game they didn't surprise me that they won,but the BLOW OUT shocked me. Then they lose in the post season. I'm looking foward to see what kind of answer they have this year!

I take it you live in polk county? Where was lakeland the last ten years when Aquinas was winning championships welcome back lakeland havent seen you since 08 when st thomas ran up the scoreboard
California football is too soft to compete with the likes of Texas and Florida. West Coast in general is soft lol that's why you don't see PAC-12 teams winning national titles minus the USC years with Pete Carroll.
@@Senaleb you are right part of the problem there offense is out of date top quarterbacks don't want to play in it. They need to modernize it. I think mater dei and bosco could best either team
