St. Xavier (OH) makes the short drive from Cincinnati to just outside of Indianapolis as the Bombers take on Brownsburg (IN) in the GEICO High School Football Kickoff. The Bulldogs' senior offense leads with way with QB Ben Easters (Kansas commit), WR Preston Terrell (Purdue commit), WR Luke Lacy, OT Joshua Sales (Indiana commit) and C Pete Nygra (Northern Illinois commit). St. X returns ATH Liam Clifford (Penn State commit).

This was the only decent High School Football Kick off Showcase game, It was a lot of turnovers but this game was better then all the others and we have today and next weekend

Sometimes you just want the premier team with a huge history of winning to get knocked off the pedestal lol. For us in Indiana, that team is Carmel

@@falconhoward4032 As a former member of a marching band, thus a band nerd, I have a huge dislike for Carmel as well, because their marching band would consistently win regular band competitions as well as the BOA competitions. They were the premier band with a large history of winning band competitions as well as winning the BOA Grand Nationals three out of the four years when I was in high school.

I love when people who have never ran with the ball tell ball carriers just go down, that goes against the ball carrier code. You teach em to run half ass and when U need them to sacrifice there body they won't be able or willing to....

Well we're ranked #38 in the country according to MaxPreps (will be higher when the next rankings come out tomorrow cuz we just beat our cross town rival that was preseason #1 in the state) and St. X is still ranked #51 after that loss. Big time programs

To be fair, they have no means of reviewing it in HS and it's easy to scrutinize them when we have the luxury of rewinding or replaying it. But they also missed 2 bad DPIs on other deep routes by Terrell and I was getting kind of annoyed lol
