Sometimes we have a scenario wherein we need to create a PowerApps form in such a manner that, some of our form rows contain one column, some contain two columns, and some contain three columns. Meaning, the column number is not symmetrical during the entire Power Apps form. It changes based on the size of the field and business requirements. So, how we can stack and rearrange multiple columns in a single row in Power Apps form? Here, I’m going to show you the technique of arranging data cards side by side in a Form. So, let’s see how we can arrange PowerApps Form Data cards side by side?
Do you have a business requirement where your form don't follow the same column pattern? In some of the rows, you have two side-by-side columns and in some of the rows, you have 4 side by side fields? When you try to move fields in Power Apps form, your form design is spoiled? You want to learn the best practices and math behind the arrangement of the field? Then you are at Right Place!
There’s a simple mathematical logic to begin the scene. The Power Apps Form data card is arranged based on their X and Y Positions. Once we understand that thing, our task becomes easier.
The main idea is to cover the following Points!
Power Apps Form Field Arrangement form Basics
Power Apps - Maintain and Stacking Columns Side by Side
Power Apps Form with Dynamic Number of Column for each Row

Great videos. These are really helpful! Have few queries : 1) How can we use 2 different data sources in a powerapp together? 2) Can we use Power BI as data source to build a power app?

Thank you for this video. I wonder if you have one that shows how to create 2/3/4 columns but make each of the cards a different width? For example, on one form I want two columns, but the first to be about 75% of the width and the other to be 25%. Or I want 2 columns, but arranged them so there is nothing on the left or nothing in the middle. I imagine this is possible, but cannot figure out or find out how to do this. Everything on a computer is easy, but nothing is intuitive. :)

HI. Don't you just set your columns equal to 12 on the form, then resize as needed? (Thanks for sharing 👍)

I try manually type in X,Y and most of datacard just reset to another position.
@maiarabenetti
@maiarabenetti Год назад
Do not forget to deactivate the option on forms property of "adjust the columns", then to reduce their width before changing the position X and Y.

This video was really good and I appreciate you. Here is a question I've been unable to find an answer to: How do make a card span multiple rows? What I'd like to do is have datacard in column 0 with a radio control in it that spans two rows. In column two, I want two text input controls/datacards. Like this: |--------------------|--------------------| | | | | |--------------------| | | | |--------------------|-------------------|
@iamdhruvinshah
@iamdhruvinshah 25 дней назад
Add Blank data card if you want like this!
@DarrenCarlson-zv6ec
@DarrenCarlson-zv6ec 25 дней назад
@@iamdhruvinshah A blank card doesn't work but a secondary card does. Hide the real datacards that are for the datafields on the right side. Add a custom card with both labels and inputs inside that card so it 'looks' like it's two cards. Set the Default to the 'real' datacard.default instead of parent.default and then set the update property on the 'real', 'hidden' cards to the value in the controls on the custom card.
