The slowness at the 37 ish minutes came form enemies debuffing you with wither. That's the grey eye symbol

Loved your BEEEES moment. The Mega Death attack patterns are so comfortable and familiar, feels like coming home in this game. If you were looking for some of the more replayable characters, Super Hero (obvs as you can build around your one unique super trait) but also Esper and Cyborg have builds unique to them as you're unlikely to come across all their special traits. This was filling the Brotato void in my life, so will be sorry to see it go. Looking forward to whatever games you cover next!

In the latest update they released some new options to help you with vision clarity. You can now tune up or down how your companions/menu opacity looks, so you can make them fully transparent if you wanted to. I'm currently playing with 50% opacity and it does help a lot.

The Ivy Scroll is perhaps the most absurdly powerful of the starting weapons. It can easily last you half the run and nukes bosses.

Yep Your nature dmg bleed trait and bleeding enemies take extra crit dmg trait is how i got max cinder win

today i have hit a 10 minute mile (technically a half hour 3 miles but its the same thing really). people talk a lot about being really sore the day after exercising but i've never had that. i think it's because of doing a cooldown? either way it's very nice. big fan of the ramping potential of this character and of the concept of an aura build

Honestly the whole desire to pivot to a different stat or even get some dex/int/str when it's a bit low is why I like the well rounded beast perk more then the 30% food. I haven't had any issue getting my preferred stat to 40-50

Just did a Druid run last night and it ramped just as fast. Funnily enough it also ended up being an aura build

Small tip - If you are worried about visual clutter, you can change the opacity of auras, pets, and other things in the menu.

Man I love auras, they're just set it and forget it for an easy early-mid game, and their scaling is mostly build agnostic.

Surprised you didn't go for aura radius at 17:00, but then again I know now that you're an aura build because of the video title, where you may have still been trying to not commit.

yeah, the viewer has the advantage of knowing the end result before I do, wasn't wanting to put all my eggs into the aura basket, but then there was a point where it became undeniable.

@@Retromation that trait is actually way better than it seems and isn't just for auras. But it makes even a single aura busted. It massively increases any buffs you have on you. So by the end of the run, infusions and Potions are doubled at a minimum. And any weapons, equipment, or traits that give buffs are also more than doubled. Legit is one of the most powerful perks in the game

Suggestion for an absurd run I had. Esper (baby) with the mind spiral trait then build an electric hero sword. It automatically clears rooms before you can move, had the sword to +7 with some rng drops too.

Reto, you can delete this comment, but hear me out. Apparently there's a bug (probably because they revamp how some things consumes red heart first) in the event room on floor 2 that let you exchange heart with stats or luck. The event now only consumes your red health, but you can still do the event even at 0 red heart. Managed to get 100+ for all stats and 50+ luck.

I did a Druid aura run last night. Too strong. I lost my ability to stay awake on floor 12 and went down to one heart on my first life. But boss 12 didn’t touch me. If you can keep your eyes open, you can beat the game with this build. :)

You're slow cause there is an enemy that gives you a debuff. its the grey eye icon

I don't think you were actually slow, I've played aura stacking many times, the screen size increases to accommodate your aoe, so it feels slower but it's just more zoomed out
