I heard about this guy in Gary when I was growing up. He was one of the hardest, realest, coldest gangsters in Indiana.. He wrote this book that sold pretty nicely. God bless this guy.❤❤ He doing big things 😊

I'm from Gary as well & he is right about a lot of things but for me GI wasn't really that bad, it had its ups & downs but even during the Horace Mann murders everyone's goal was to live, even when the national guard came it still didn't feel like a warzone torn country as seen on T.V.. shidd we just had the national guard tankers on the streets of Gary with the other police & fire trucks which looked kinda cool to me & my friends. I went to Beckman middle school in Gary & we learned French, home ect, music, art, shop, drama etc & most of my classmates lived in Delaney projects saying that to say we all received the same education. So it was a lot of Good in gary back in the 80's 90's 2000's. as far as hoods & sets.. LC & cricket nem ran delaney, Willie anderson & bugg o nem ran Ivanhoe, Frank & Foley (49th) boyz ran Glen Park, iroc Z JR, Candy man & Lil moses nem ran 5th ave, Jay Murphy & phillip white nem ran the Darkside, CCA afflited ran concord, bullet & porky nem ran terrytown.. & it goes on & On I went to Horace mann & even tho we had opps we still had a mutual respect for each other when needed! we were all raised to be good people, who just wanna make it home alive at the end of the day!
He ain't lying bout the G. My era. I graduated in 95. And I was all over the G too. It was a wild time. He left off some hoods. 4-9 and DHB used to go crazy too. 2-1 vs 17th. If you came up in the G, you can go anywhere in America and survive.
Interesting… Gary was smooth and cool to me.. Every city has its problems and street issues. The population for Gary to have the murders that it had & has wound be a high percentage when you multiply the population.

If u grew up in Gary from any part and made it out of your 20s its because you knew how to move, I'm born and raised in the G and I'm 43, never thought id make it this far,we use to call summer killing season , winter wasnt much better, it was especially bad cause our population during those years was only 90 to 100k people ,nap and southbend and other places got worse as people moved out of Gary and took the mentality with them
