Finally , a video on a coin that actually needs cleaning!!!!!!! I find so many that are crusted over and there are NO videos on crusted coins or Buttons. Until you. So thank you for this video! I have several buttons and coins to try this on now.
Absolutely minted review of the Composite cleaning pencil … the brass one is something I need invest in and the card size measurer ….. love 💕 it ! Stunning find the cartwheel penny and turned it pretty awesome 👏🤩🤩 was so lovely to hear you giving back to the farmer as she loves her history ! Top man 🙌👏🤩 see you Shane … look forward to seeing you find a grotty Roman to clean up haha 😂 keeping it real as always 💯💥💥🤩👏😉
Pretty cool man! I've never tried it yet but it's interesting and seems to work fairly well. That card thing is cool. I like that for sizing coins in the field! Nice kit!
Thanks for uploading this. I use a red fiber glass pencil thing, which is quite good, but I was thinking of upgrading to one of these.. I don't have any romans, yet 😕 But I do have a load of coins I'd like to clean up.
@@TheStaffordshireSearcher thank you. I found a lovely 1751 George the 2nd half penny yesterday and cleaned it with my pencil, and took a load of the green patina off. That's why I wached your video this morning. The coin has come up really well, very clear details, just a shame about the patina.. I was hoping this pencil wouldn't take it off, but I'm guessing it's just the same. It's more about the type of coin I'm cleaning. I haven't been lucky enough to find any romans.... yet !
@@TheStaffordshireSearcher I've been detecting for just over 6 months and I love it. Not found a cartwheel yet though! I'm just out now, got a couple of hours spare. Have a great day.
My complete composite cleaning pencil with wax & a Roman coin to practice on arrives very soon having only ordered it today. You mentioned the fibre pencil was made of fibre glass. I think you maybe wrong about that, as cheaper knocks offs are made of fibreglass, but they don't work anywhere near as good looking at other reviews I've seen on RU-vid.
Yea you are correct and not correct it’s a hybrid composite hence it’s capability’s. The down side to this video is the fact I used a already done in coin Iv had much more luck with other just not filming at the time
Cool video, but seemed like a pointless excercise to me. That coin was in awful condition and still is in awful condition. I'm not sold on the pens, would probs achieve the same outcome scraping the coin with a thin screwdriver or tweezers or summat. Perhaps try with a different coin?
I honestly wouldn’t use metal to metal duke been there done that ruined the coin, yes I should of gone wayyyy more with it but the coin needs to be in better condition to begin with
@@TheStaffordshireSearcher the brass tip is basically a wire brush which is metal. I've seen people improve Roman coins but using a tooth pick or thorns from a rose bush 🤣
