This lady has a style when she takes the stage that just captures the audience. She just has that IT that you connect with .as always I enjoyed your reaction
what a pleasant surprise! i know i've mentioned this performance before, as i'm sure others have as well. still gets me every time, & i'll never forget the first time i saw this epic, all encompassing, full hearted performance.
"This feels totally inappropriate right now to talk about her stage presence.." I sooo get you! This is my intro to Shoshana. Wow. I'm now staring at the screen, smiling thru tears of emotion, shock, admiration and.. what the hell. Am lost for words just like you! I need a tissue...
This is my favorite live performance by her. Shoshana has been a favorite of mine for a while. While I love her Broadway/Theatrical work I prefer her Jazz singing. Been loving your reactions 😎
SPEECHLESS!!! Magnificent performance of what a musician should/be distilled in their encounter of the song. Mind, body and soul. Underated song and terrific vocals and presentation. WOW!!!!!
Hey Janet, I had watched your reaction 10 months ago already, but today as my Turkish reactor friend Mustafa listened to this performance and Shoshana for the first time and his reaction was so enjoyable that I watched it four times already I wanted to watch someone else but still not quit Shoshana and this performance and I remembered you and your great reaction so I came here again and I enjoyed you even more than the first time, so i want to say thank you again! I'll send the link to your video to Mustafa and suggest him to watch your reaction either privately or even as his reaction to your reaction, this would be so much fun... You have a great day and enjoy it, peace and love from Bavaria!
I loved your reaction! First time to your channel and your lead-in announced that you were going to be looking at "stage presence"... I couldn't help smiling! I've seen this performance soooo many times and it always blows my mind. Your almost wordless reaction was about the most articulate and authentic reaction that I've seen for this gem! Check Shoshana out in She Used To Be Mine. Or Haley Reinhart doing a cover of Creep with Postmodern Jukebox. A different kind of presence but I think you'll enjoy it. Anyway, very well done!!
This is just my opinion. She was TRYING to make her performance awesome. It isa Blues/Rock song. Not a Formal Dinning type song. I feel that her "Performance" of it, was just that. A performance. That is why she elongate some words and made some lyrics louder. It was a performance, or an act. But, that is just me. Regardless, this is a good Post.
Cem Nouri, I can NOT see your replies. Did you take the comments down? I do not Post a comment to argue with anyone. If you have an opinion, don't be shy to express it. I may be wrong. You may be wrong. It is NOT a right or a wrong thing. It is an opinion thing. And we have the right to have them. Thanx for commenting, even if you did take them down. I do not know.
I recommend watching some of her other stuff. She very much sings with all her emotions and it is not an act. This woman is one of the most talented women I've ever heard. Ever. Regardless of what type of audience it was, she sings in a very soulful bluesy style almost all the time.
@@ssabell31 there is no need to see some of her other stuff. I know her and she is awesome. All I said was that I did not like this song sung the way shge did. I doesn't matter who sang the song that way. I wouldn't have liked it. Plain and Simple. You and anyone can disagree. You have that right.
