Bus drivers in general don't really ask for a lot from their passengers but it's surprising just how far a strategically placed "Please" and "Thank You" will get you. Bus drivers are human too, so a little bit of appreciation and good manners are very well received and help to make everything that wee bit more worthwhile.😉
Quite right, I generally do a "morning" or "afternoon" when I get on and tap my bus pass and a "cheers" or "thanks" when I get off. I've noticed that most people do this in the north, even little children.
Quite a few really steep hills and braes on this bus journey today and as we can see az good a vehicle as the Akexander Dennis undoubtedly is, at times it's been found to struggle on an incline. From the various different journeys you have made in different areas I just wonder if the likes of the Volvo Streetdeck would have managed any better. I am aware that the streetdeck is a bit narrower though.
The engine is powerful enough it’s usually the economy mode ecu or gearbox setup that makes them struggle Voith will change up and down so many times up hill and work like an anchor down hill
Ah, Romiley and Bredbury, my father's mother's male line comes from there. My great great great grandfather is buried in the church (in1843) together with his wife and some young children.
