Just a little heads-up for you. You may want to do the 500 service between Dumfries and Stranraer sometime. If you do, I suggest that you begin the journey from Dumfries railway station. It's about 2 hrs and 25 minutes long and calls in at places like Newton Stewart, Creetown, Gatehouse of Fleet and Castle Douglas. Another interesting video from you.

And making bonnets. Not that the other towns faired much better. Kilmarnock for instance was known for coal, heavy industry, carpets and Scotch whisky (ie Johnnie Walker). The industries all shut down or left and the last one (ie Walker) left to go somewhere else even though it was first created in Kilmarnock.

Technically speaking these buses are under West of Scotland Stagecoach depot based in Kilmarnock. A lot of the vehicles there can also be sent down to Dumfries depot but unfortunately there's no way that they will be getting any of these electric buses anytime soon as Dumfries simply don't have the infrastructure to recharge the vehicles. Also, some of the routes across D&G are such that the range in these vehicles would prohibit them.
