Original piano arrangement written by me. For sheet music, MIDI files and piano covers, please contact me with the contact form on my site www.vkgoeswild.... "Outside" was originally performed live during the 1999 Family Values Tour in Biloxi, Mississippi, with Aaron Lewis (vocals/guitar) on the stage by himself and Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst providing backing vocals. Lewis was asked to perform a song solo and he decided at the last moment to play a song he had been working on since the early days of Staind. He finished the lyrics to "Outside" on the spot while singing the song live. It is the first single released off their 2001 album Break the Cycle (from the Wikipedia).

I love how she adds the voice of the singer into the piano when she plays, adds a little something extra to the song, (Intsrumental i mean.) Great job i love her covers, i listen to music all the time, i personally play the guitar. Never realized how much Guitar and Piano have in common.... sound wise of course. -Sly

it's because they are both string based instruments, just sayin' I know it's technically considered a percussion instrument, but a piano is just vibrating strings, only a different method of hitting it.

*And I delve into youtube commenting I had heard enough of Aaron to recognize his voice. I liked "it's been awhile" but the moment came as a car was driving by blasting this song into the night, right as the final verse started "all the time, that I've tried" Something about the emotion i heard in his voice stuck with me, and I decided right then - I'm buying this album. Reading the "about" he finished writing it live on stage, in the moment. No wonder it was such a powerful song. and still a favorite.

I'll be honest, I've never been much of a fan of Staind. I like this song when it came out, but I always felt it was missing something. But hearing you play that.....with such raw emotion, such raw passion....it took my breath away. Vika, you have an amazing gift and I hope that whatever time and life throw your way, you can still feel and play music like this from your heart...absolutley beautiful...
