Actually this project was a good learning experience. We were finishing a lot of things on this new house so we had all the paints and stains out as we were going from project to project. Accidentally used the wrong stain. We should have let this one dry and gone over top of it with another outside stain. I'm sure you could probably match the color, just an espresso color. The top coat was a really good industrial top coat rated for wood and the sun, high traffic as well. Didn't hold up so good. Flaked off. Just recommend two coats of an exterior stain. Water beads right off. Re- apply every few years to satisfaction.
It's all wrong. You should start with sanding deck with floor drum sanding machine. It's a must. Then paint with dollar store paint Don't be a failure...
