This press is designed to professional standards and/or for frequent use. To achieve maximum juice cleanliness, the juice and pulp only come into contact with acid resistant stainless steel - 3mm thick on the basket to 6mm for the press plate. This hardwaring, longlife equipment will achieve the maximum juice yield for the minimum of effort.

If the jack leaks it contaminates the juice.

If the jack leaks it would leak into the square receptacle of the pressing plate not the juice. - Am I wrong?

The hydraulic fluid can be replaced with veg or canola oil. The jack will loose some power but not much.

You can use a kitchen robot to cut the fruit. Then place it 1 night in the freezer (plastic bags ?). Once it is no more frozen you can get the juice out of it.

That is a real issue. Oil is poison. When things go sideways 😂 you have to dump the juice. Also the energy involved is a bit dangerous.... ..but so is drinking

i have an insinkerator i got from habitat for humanity, run some detergent and clorox diluted thru first, rinse well and then grind apples, works like a charm
