This song saved me from suicide after losing everything my home,my fiancé and my dog. This song and video got me through that, and It makes me proud of the place I've reached in life, I'm due to have my first child in May. I'll always be eternally greatfull thank you Oscar.
@@silverbackshotcall8r956 stay strong soldier the world can take its toll on us but wat matters is how we get through it. As some1 who was contemplating suicide as an option I sympathize with ur pain. Happy ur going thru the light angel 😇
This guy has it all, voice, looks and he is a fabulous actor. I think one day everyone will know and appreciate Oscars work, he deserves to make it big.
@@sonyabladesbooty3890 the movies might have been big, but I don't think those put him on the map. It was Llewyn Davis and to a wider audience, Star Wars
A natural talent. He acts, plays, and sings with true passion. I truely admire his ability to make you feel like you're right there next to him letting the moment consume you.
This song helped me through some tough times.. I had just been discharged from the military. Discharged with paranoid schizophrenia and symptoms of dissociative identity disorder, life was rough for a long time. This is the song that helped me find your channel, and your music touched me... Thank you for helping me out... Your performance in Moon Knight is uncannily accurate, thank you for the dedication and commitment. Hopefully others will be able to understand certain psychological issues like those represented in the character. Thank you for helping us..
This guy is probably the best person I know of. I've never met him, but he seems like such a sweet and compassionate guy. He's an incredibly good actor, an amazing singer and guitarist, a very funny and sweet guy, and he has the looks too. Basically the best person in the world.
Listening to your voice has been carrying me through some rough storms I'm currently going through. Thank you for the calm and serenity your voice brings. Don't ever stop singing...and do swing by the DC area if you ever get a chance :)
I would buy an album even if it was just covers, his voice is so special that I don't care what he sings, it could be a cooking recipe or shopping list, everything would sound angelic sung by him, his voice is the most special thing I've ever heard
I'd actually seen him in Robin Hood, Sucker Punch and Drive but didn't realize it until I did a recent review of his filmography. My faves so far are Inside Llewyn Davis and In Secret. Trying to catch The Two Faces Of January. :)
@TheNightLab, you are talented guys, keep it up. Such a wonderful idea to have staircase sessions, what a different sound it gives you :-) following Oscar now since Inside Llewyn and what can i say, beautiful voice and play with the guitar. So much passion and heart behind it, it compells. Will keep following your career with a fond interest and inspiration for oneself
This song is addicting.... And your version is just as well. If I hadn't had to pawn my acoustic I'd be playing along to this video. Thanks for keeping this song alive. I hope it ends up on the Llewyn Davis soundtrack along with Dink's Song.... speaking of which if you could upload you playing that with this quality I'd love to hear it. "Lord, Lord, Lord...."
it sickens me that the likes of miley cyrus and others get millions of views, yet this has been up for several months and only has 9000. there is one more thing wrong with the world
I'm struggling to learn it as well. It's in Open G tuning, it has 4 chords: G 000000 G' 000430 "D" 000210 "C" 002010 G' I was young when I left home D G C and I been a-rambling 'round. D And I never wrote a letter to my home. G G' D G C To my home lord, lord to my home. D G' And I never wrote a letter to my home. The picking pattern seems to be 5143 with slight variations. RiddicBlack this is far from perfect but it works. I would love updates with details from anyone who can play it.
+Paul Coman I've gotten the chord progression, but I'm still working on the picking pattern...now I'm just using a basic travis picking pattern and it sounds pretty good.
+Dan Amirault make sure you don't focus too much on the bass for this song! I mean it plays an extremely important part but focus on the high e and b string. Also I don't know if you can tell, but around the middle he actually strums down on E and a while still picking
