• Should always be Clockwise.
• No of a steps should always be Odd.
And in Modern Vastu
• Should always be Anticlockwise
• Steps should be even

#How staircases play important role in vastu shashtra and where it should be in our houses and what should be the orientation of stairs i.e. clockwise or anticlockwise.
#There are certain myths related to staircase in ancient vastu, that it should be only clockwise and in SW direction of the house. They used to give the logic behind it that staircase is a kind of heavy construction, and SW is the direction of earth element, that's why this is the suitable option for stairs.
