The thickness of the strings on that staircase show its quality 44mm - 50mm. Nice.

Living in the U.S. and seeing how different construction is in the UK is always interesting. Everything from the different contractors and how buildings are built everything from the A/C to the fine details.

MY DAY ALWAYS GETS BETTER WHEN A HOUSE UPDATE IS UPLOADED

Yianni/Daniel: Need to install a minimum of 150MM MOT type 3 , 70MM of 14MM open textured macadam binder course and 18MM resin bound gravel. Daniel needs to leave 88MM from your edging for the macadam and resin. We are specialist contractors who can price for the front driveway and any hard landscaping.

For sound proofing and fire reasons you should board the ceiling before building the stud wall, plus a lot easier/quicker when it comes to boarding

Looks amazing! Get some spare filters for the vent axia units, as Daniel “not shook” Ashville said there will be dust in the air for weeks after.

Yan - why not go for a 'short throw 4K laser projector' in your media room instead of a conventional projector.... saves on space and will get you a bigger viewing picture, a better picture - 150 inch if you want it..!!! I'm having one in my new build :)

I'd say Dan is right about the steels. RSJ is a bit of and old term although sometimes used to refer to the older profile where the flanges are angled or sometimes by the general public who don't work in construction. Steels or steelwork if there's fabrication involved are normal terms this days or for I sections universal beams or universal columns if you want to be more specific
