The musician who plays under the band name, KNULP, is a young Korean woman. She is an extremely gifted and talented musician who can play so many instruments almost to perfection. You can see her perform a multitude of songs on RU-vid. By the way, KNULP is a book written by novelist, Hermann Hesse. "Keep on Rockin' in The Free World..."
As a lifetime (50 years+) Zeppelin fan I just want to say - outstanding. The attention to detail and accuracy of playing across the parts is superb, as is the accuracy of the instrument tones. Fabulous job.
Really talented, if that is indeed girl or a guy, just dosent seem possible playing all the instruments by same person, and singing too. Why not show this persons face. Very skeptical. Sorry just my opion, and a big time led Zeppelin Fan!
@@josephnicotera9428you've got a good point and I've said similar in my own comment. Seeing the artist's expression is very much part of the viewing experience, leastways the incomplete picture is distracting to me. Perhaps it's for a sense of mystique.
@@josephnicotera9428 Why even bother posting your negative opinions? Your comment is a great disservice to this magnificent artist. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Sorry she is playing a guitar and doing an awesome job Jimmy page makes his guitar sing there’s major difference in the emotion …LED ZEPPELIN THE GREATEST ROCK BAND THE WORLD HAS EVER HEARD
“To find a queen without a king They say she plays guitar and cries and sings... La la la la” Led Zeppelin. Awesome playing, singing, and all around performance!!! Amazingly talented!!! 🙂🙏🏻
Everyone’s talking about how great of a cover this is and how impressive it is to play all the instruments and that’s all valid. However, what’s REALLY impressive is the tones of every instrument. It’s a fantastic mix
For a song a half century old, a gold standard, covered by everybody, this is a wonderful production. It’s clean and crisp and restrained… And then add the production values, the photography, even the coy framing to hide our artist’s face… This is fresh & intoxicating.
I disagree, the song isn't half a century old, I bought the album when it came out and it's only yesterday to me. This cover is good but no-one can capture the sheer virtuosity of the original
its far too restrained as are all her performances. there is no excitement anywhere. she wont even let herself breathe properly when singing. during the bridge she played the 12 like she thought it would break?@@chrishorne4016
What a beautiful young lady very talented plays all the instruments plays them well I wish you all the success please keep doing this I can’t wait for the next one cheers for now…💋💋
Hello, my daughters asked to write to you, I couldn't help but say that you are a fantastic artist, at the moment you are my two daughters' favorite artist, your music has already reached Portugal. continue to delight us with your music.
Thank you so much sweet music family, sending you big big hugs!🧸💌 Please send messages to contactknulp@gmail.com anytime sweet ladies would like to! Wish you a lovely rest of the week😊🎀
This is arguably the greatest rock song of my generation, and you did it justice. It was a nice surprise to hear you belting out the vocals in the crescendo, too. Wonderful!
I can't fathom the amount of editing that went into this!?? Hollow body guitar, double neck electric guitar, bass guitar, piano, drums...and it's ALL ...PERFECT!!!
There's a lady who's sure All that glitters is gold And she's buying a stairway to heaven When she gets there she knows If the stores are all closed With a word she can get what she came for Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh And she's buying a stairway to heaven There's a sign on the wall But she wants to be sure 'Cause you know, sometimes words have two meanings In a tree by the brook There's a songbird who sings Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven Ooh, it makes me wonder Ooh, it makes me wonder There's a feeling I get When I look to the west And my spirit is crying for leaving In my thoughts I have seen Rings of smoke through the trees And the voices of those who stand looking Ooh, it makes me wonder Ooh, it really makes me wonder And it's whispered that soon If we all call the tune Then the piper will lead us to reason And a new day will dawn For those who stand long And the forests will echo with laughter Oh whoa-whoa-whoa, oh-oh If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now It's just a spring clean for the May Queen Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run And there's still time to change the road you're on And it makes me wonder Oh, whoa Your head is humming and it won't go In case you don't know The piper's calling you to join him Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow? And did you know Your stairway lies on the whispering wind? And as we wind on down the road Our shadows taller than our soul There walks a lady we all know Who shines white light and wants to show How everything still turns to gold And if you listen very hard The tune will come to you at last When all are one and one is all, yeah To be a rock and not to roll And she's buying a stairway to heaven
Knulp is so fricken awesome. Her hands are dancing on the strings and fretboard even when shes playing that enormous car door of a double guitar, and her posture is perfect. Meanwhile the rest of us curl up like hunchbacks getting back aches playing anything over seven pounds. She just plays everything and plays beautifully.
I've just watched this for like the10th time. Not only are you beautiful and extremely talented, you have an extraordinary ear. You absolutely nailed many of the subtle pieces of this song. The classic drum fill towards the end of the solo, the pull-offs and hammer-ons during the finger-picking, and especially the note bending in the solo. Again, you have a fantastic ear and quite the skill to match! ❤
So nice to hear a "clean" version of the song and know it is still relevant. By clean, I mean that the notes and singing were spot on without undo emoting. Beautifully sung and played. ❤️🙏✌️
@@normansawatzky4778 -- Emoting is the excess expression of emotion. This is a difficult song to do without "overdoing it," with simple pitch, without undo bending of the notes. The effect is that the song has a stronger emotional punch and an almost detached sadness, an effective rendition, for me.
This beautiful young lady does everything with class and dedication. You will never see any music if you look all this is done from memory. I truly enjoy your music and try to share you with my grandchildren because you are an example of hard work.. Thank you
That was the theme song of my teens and one of greatest songs of all time!!! Your version is equally beautiful !!! You brought me back. You have great powers!!! ❤❤❤ Thanks
Come on KNLUP! You are playing all the instruments and drums and singing. How come you got all the talent? Pssh. So unfair! And you are so humble. God has blessed you and you in turn bless us with your music! Thanks sister!
What can one say about this version of one of rock's greatest anthems? Other than this cover is performed to perfection, complete with the drama, urgency, harmony and beauty. A masterly (or should I say mistressly?) performance. Love this.
I've been a Led Zeppelin Fan for more than 50 years (!) by now! Bought the first of their albums when I was in school - and I must say: You did a brilliant job. Compared to Your voice Robert Plant had to put in much more energy for almost the same result. You played the guitars very well, Jimmy Page was the first to play this, since then EVERYBODY played it, but amongst them Your version is one of the finest, so smooth and calm! And, finally, You didn‘t play the drums like John Bonham, but who could?? This was the first time to see one of Your videos, I‘m looking forward to seeing some others!!
I remember the first time I listened to the original in 1973. I was mesmerised that day and this rendition has taken me back. I struggle with the anonymity aspect, it detracts somewhat. Just a personal view, nobody else seems bothered. You did an extraordinary job and thanks for posting 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤😊
Had to sub after hearing this... Perfect captures of the tone, cadence, and raw feel, just like in your version of PF's Comfortably Numb. Thank you for gracing us with your talent. Wish you'd show your face, but i understand that the world is too small now with facial recognition, etc.
In a word - stunning! Perhaps one of the finest covers I've ever heard of STH. And this from a 60yr old lifelong fan of Zep. And to think you played all instruments yourself along with vocals. Unbelievable. Keep doing what you're doing. You're incredibly talented!
I just got done working a 40+ 3 day work wk. I'm sitting down to eat dinner, and this pops up on my feed. Damn, what an outstanding cover!! The 12 string!!! Really?! Damn!. At every layer of this, my smile got bigger. Outstanding job.
This is a masterpiece! I am totally impressed with the playing of all the instruments with the correct tone and the quality of the sound and video! You deserve some major recognition, a contract with a record studio and a standing ovation for this awesome performance! Your video editing is top quality, too! Thank you!
Phuquing amazing!! A truly talented young musician who regardless of her youth understands why "Stairway" may well be the finest rock ballad in history. Its structure is actually quite classically oriented: exposition, development, recapitulation, an eight minute mini- sonata, and this is only part of the reason it is timeless. Led Zeppelin were certainly at their creative peak at that time. You, young lady, have proven this fact and given us all a tremendous tribute to what is great about rock and roll at its height! Thank you!!
I'm currently ripping through your covers. Going by the Wish You Were Here and this one its absolutely stunning that not only your obvious musical talent is out of this world but if you are doing the mixing that's an absolute rare talent my dear.I can't wait to check out your library of videos.
Congratulations, I can see from your performances, there thousands of hours of effort to reach this performance. Then I look at your inventory of work done and say HOLEY SMOKES.
Wow, you are an impressive multi-instrumentalist ... with a nice voice to go along. Only 35K subscribers? How's that possible? First time watching this and I am a subscriber now. You can go far: I wish you the best.
There is so much young and medium talent on RU-vid today. You are among the few at the top of the list singing and instruments, I believe. No doubt, you know too, just how great you are. More, your way of this song was outstanding. More, besides Robert Plant singing this song, of the many that I have heard singing this song, you are among the second or third to get the way the lyrics was to be sung, from how Plant song the song. I cannot even express how on the guitars you used sounded like Page playing. I liked your soul, easiness on this song. The song starts like telling a story and not to be sung like it is a song, as a story then later it is to be as a song. Like a minstrel, in the mid ages would in taverns.
I totally agree with you. Knulp She thoroughly figured out how Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham sang and played. If you haven't seen it, also watch this video. The original video uploaded by Knulp herself had 1.26 million views before being deleted by RU-vid about three months ago. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5xnXRd3v21c.htmlsi=P32b76c43S0lJrog
I'm gobsmacked at this girl's cover of one of Rock's anthems. You have nailed every instrument with an appreciation of the original that many have failed to do. What a TALENT you are. To find young people like you reviving and reliving the music, I in my nearly 7th decade, is absolutely gratifying. Thank you so much. I will watch this and anything else you do with great joy. 👍🎸🎸🎼🎵🎶 Cheers and a big thanks for your beautiful abilities
I also shed tears of joy ㅠㅠ If you haven't seen it yet, please watch this video. Knulp's original video has been deleted from RU-vid, and this is a copy video uploaded by another user. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5xnXRd3v21c.htmlsi=KONUcIy4YXfvDP9d
Up until today my absolute favorite cover of this beautiful masterpiece belonged to Heart, but now they have a worthy contender. You stand right beside them. Beautiful.
OMG OMG what an amazing amazing cover! It was absolute perfection! I cannot imagine the hard work, learning the song, editing the video that you did so well. I will play it again and again. I will share it with everyone I know. I think this will become the most popular song on your channel. Congratulations KNULP and thank you SO MUCH for this fine work of art!!
God bless you amen your so awesome and very good amen I enjoyed every minute of the playing time amen 100%% thank you so much my favorite song thanks again see me tomorrow ok
