im 42 so i know 🤫🤫 these days the tunes are to over produced.. listen to this LOUD and take inspiration..absolute Legend of a Tune xx miss the good ol days
TRAKS LIKE THIS CHANGED THE WAY HOW JUNGLE DNB TUNES TUNES WERE BEING PRODUCED FOR THE FUTURE. WAY AHEAD FOR THE TIME WHEN RELEASE. BIG BLOODCLAT TUNES. STILL MASH UP THE DANCE FLOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So fucking rolling, you dont get tunes like this now. Software replaced hardware, no one does percussion like this. Its all huge all-enveloping snares now. Stakka & Skynet, Ed Rush & Optical, Matrix, Fierce, Konflict etc, great sounds
So deep and massive! Still have this one on vinyl. No plan to ever get rid of it. Friction dropped it in April at Cable, this guy knows what the right classics are. This is simply timeless.
brutal - just listened to an old radio tape featuring Andy C at the controls, must have been on Kiss or summat around 2000. Brilliant. You can keep today's stuff.
I've always been facinated by the second drop. The way it sounds like it should have kicked in already but just keeps winding up for too long yet it's still somehow in time. Genius programming. 3:48
drumm and bass is still evolving there is some mental stuff still being made respect to the renegade hardware crew fuck this jumpup shit that people who dont know what drum and bass is suppport the tech sound!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sure Friction dropped this bad boy at Cable the other week....You never forget a tune and this was one of em for me... still got the little bugger on vinyl somewehere. Gotta be over 10 years old now and way ahead of it's time when released. Sounded Phat when released... and still sounds phat after all this time Boooooooooooooooooom!!! :)
Does anyone remember a hardcore remix of Side Effects? I remember hearing Grooverider playing it, round about year 2000 everyone started doing hardcore remixes.
TECH_STEP at its F@#%^ finest here. Stakka & Skynet, where did you go? Them and Konflict (Kemal & Rob Data)? Those producers used to have everyone dying of heart attacks and seizures on the dance floor. PURE late 90's and early, early 00's DNB was sooo strong. Now it's wayyy to british for me to understand. Cant wait to go to England to get schooled I guess. Big Up!
Yeah its all over compressed to fucking fuck now! It takes all the warmth out... thats why when you listen to all this stuff its just got that little extra on the modern digitally made stuff!
Interesting! So Kraken were Stakka & Skynet. I never realized because they released heaps of tunes as just Stakka and Skynet...this classic tune always had a mythical vibe about it because of "who the hell is Kraken?!"
personal opinion of course, but i always hated this jittery crackhead style of d&b, especially after skynet made nova solis & telemetry then moved to this.
